Wingman rule number two: never reveal how much you want them.
Lex hates Gabi. Gabi hates Lex. But, hey, at least the hate is mutual, right? All Lex has to do is survive the next few weeks training Gabi in all the ways of Wingmen Inc. and then he can be done with her. But now that they have to work together, the sexual tension and fighting is off the charts. He isn't sure if he wants to strangle her or throw her against the nearest sturdy table and have his way with her.
But Gabi has a secret, something she's keeping from not just her best friend but her nemesis too. Lines are blurred as Lex becomes less the villain she's always painted him to be...and starts turning into something more. Gabi has always hated the way she's been just a little bit attracted to him - no computer-science major should have that nice of a body or look that good in glasses - but "Lex Luthor" is an evil womanizer. He's dangerous. Gabi should stay far, far away.
Then again, she's always wanted a little danger.

5 Crazy Ass Must Read/Listen Stars!!!!!
Rachel Van Dyken does it again! I have been waiting for Lex and Gabby's story since meeting them in Book 1. Their little rivalry (for lack of a better word) had me intrigued then so as soon as I was able one-click, I did. I even snatched up the audible book as well for those times when I would have to put my kindle down. From my experience with previous RVD books, this is a must for me as I always seem to get lost in her stories.
Lex and Gabby had me laughing so hard I cried down my leg. Seriously, I'm not lying. I laughed so hard. When they do come together, it's like an explosion. Which is expected with all the passion they throw into their "wars".
I did enjoy the "Kindle in Motion" feature available with this book. It did make for a more interactive read. I felt like I connected more with the characters although, I did have Lex pictured differently in my head.
Rachel has become my go to author when I'm in the mood for a good read that will have me rolling on the floor laughing. I look forward to her next hilarious read.
I think it is better to hear the voices as it brings the characters to life.
The Matchmaker's Replacement by Rachel Van Dyken was a great book. I loved the dynamic between Lex and Gabi. They hate each other but Lex starts training her for her new job at Wingmen Inc. I enjoyed reading about how things can be so blurred when Lex and Gabi are close to each other. I loved that the author make the characters people that you both love and hate. I can't wait to read more by the author. I recommend this book to everyone.
loved the story I laughed so much the author must have a great sense of humor the only thing I didn't like the females voice when she tried to sound Hispanic for Gabby's parents besides that I enjoyed every bit of the book. I was sad when it came to the end.
The two short stories were the most memorable books I have read and brought lots of laughs & enjoyable moments. 8) Would love to have read more on wingman subjects.
I haven't read the print book.
The dynamic tension between the two MCs was fab. The constant push and pull was never too much and the heat? WHOOO!
I'm not sure
The scene at the club was sexy and heartbreaking, all in one.
The Matchmaker's Replacement was so much fun to listen to. The narrators were fabulous and so was the writing.
I actually enjoyed this one more than the first book, which isn't always the case. Lex and Gaby have great chemistry and tension (you know the kind *wink wink*) that isn't ever lacking. In fact, there were a few times I started yelling at Lex while listening, and at least twice my stomach flipped and plummeted to my feet because of that man and his choices.
If you're looking for a good time, Lex and Gaby deliver.
Both books in this series are good but Gabs and Lex in the Matchmakers Replacement really found a place in my heart and the narrators did a great job bringing the story to life.
Normally I enjoy the audio version of a book but still prefer reading it but this narration was so good that even if I read it again I will still be hearing the audiobook on my head. If you are forced to choose between reading or listening choose to listen.

Incredibly boring . I tried multiple times to get into the story, but just couldn't. the narrators were great, but everything their juvenile texting and dialogue to the disdainful way Lex treated Gabby finally tuned me off T about half way.
This book, along with The Matchmaker's Playbook, are easily among my top 10 favorite romantic comedies I've read this year. The witty back and forth banter that is full of sexually charged innuendo is priceless! Lex and Gabi have an epic enemies to lovers story that is equal parts laugh out loud funny and melt your panties hot, with just a touch of feels. There was no doubt in my mind from the beginning that these two didn't really hate it each other, but it was a whole lot of fun watching them figure it out!
"love this book so funny ."
