Julian de Laurent needs a temporary wife. Camille Chandler needs a job after he inadvertently gets her fired. If she agrees, he'll pay her five million to marry him. It's just a business deal, but neither could have foreseen what happens next, especially Camille, when she learns he's capable of stealing her heart.

I am an avid listener. I listen between 75-100 hours per month on my iPhone: 60% fiction to 40% non-fiction.
Okay, you read it 10 times and each time it seems just as cliché as the one before, you know guy hires girl, they fall in love, endure problems with families, blowup at the end and eventually overcome and live happily ever after. You know this on page two! Does that stop you from reading? No. You just listen because want it to be true.
This book is good, with the appropriate drama and romance. You want the smug people to be put in place and you get your wish. Give it a read.
Good story... almost spicy. Could easily have notched the story up a few pegs, all the material was there but very under developed. Still I found it enjoyable. Just.... as if the real substance of the story was passed over as if the story was developed enough not to need the details. Its a shame since it had all the promise of being wonderful!
Unfortunately the narrative was very good except for one glaring fact... the female voices were almost unbearably awful!!!!
The story was lovely and flowing. The de Laurent family is full of strong characters and Camille is very likeable!
The excellent plot and believable premise and the love story!
Awesome voice! Now all I want to do is listen to this book again.
Loved it when I read the ebook, and the audio book means I can hear it again, even when my eyes unable to read anymore.
I wouldn't know. That is why i'm a member of audible because i don't have time to sit down & read a book.
I liked both main characters, but Camille more than Julian. He was a jerk to her when she really didn't deserved it.
The french accents made me chuckle, otherwise he was good.
No not really. I was able to stop & do other things with no problems. I really like the books that I can't stop with just the car ride.
I bought it in the bogo sale of buy 1 get 1 free & was really surprised. I don't know if i would use a credit on it but definitely buy it if it's on sale. My only problem was the ending I don't think I would have taken Julian back so fast. A little groveling never hurts!!
I love to read and I'm happy that I get to follow along with a audiobooks
That Camille fall in love with him the first time she saw Jillian. But she didn't want to believe that she loved him.
Julian and Camille they were so loving and romantic
No. This my first time listing to William Dufris's. And I got to say I love reading along with him in this book.
Camille and Julian made me laugh and cry at the same time and he's family are amazing and so is her best friend. I just love everything about this book.
Just read this book and the audio. And fall in love just as I did.
Marriage Bargain was an easy listen that took me into "fantasy." It wasn't full of explicit sex, violence or "F" bombs. It was clean and made you aware of the desires of the heart.
Much like Cinderella, it was delightful to think, "What if that were me?"
The narration brought the story to life; Dufris was excellent.
Yes...and I'm ready for the second in the series.
The book left you feeling good.
I love to read and I love to listen to good books! Because I can listen while I walk, its great for both my health and the health of my dog Rubi.
Sandra Edwards? No. Sorry, it was annoying, illogical and full of holes. William Dufris has a beautiful voice. He is the only reason I listened to the end.
The plot could have been more realistic, the characters a little less two dimensional and the whole thing a tad less formulaic.
Julian. There is just something about a french accent done well and when its done in a voice as rich as chocolate and as deep as the ocean.....yum! Unfortunately even that didnt make this worth the listen.
Some of the descriptive passages were not too bad,
Be very careful of books being sold off at $4.95. I can see why this one was.
I don't usually like love stories but this one was entertaining and the characters were well presented by the author & the reader
Better narrator, the voices were hard to differentiate and the female voices were entirely vapid and "California Girl."
