Very good book!

I decided to try this series because the narrator also narrated a couple of the Bewitched and Bewildered books which is my absolute favorite series. I have to say this writer is very similar and I am very happy with this book! The narrator still didn’t disappoint and I can’t wait to listen to the next book in this series!

My favorite Christmas listen and read.

This is a must read every Christmas. I laugh just as hard as the first time. Such a great series

I am reading the complete Pride series in preparation of the Honey Badger series releasing later this month. I have lost count of how many times I have read this book. It is just as entertaining. I still laugh so hard I cry.

Between myself, my husband and the middle child this book has been read more than 20 times. This week the husband and I listened to the audiobook. We laughed louder and harder than ever before. Can't wait to listen to the rest.

Rip roaring fun

This was my first Shelly Laurenston book. I enjoyed it from the first page to the last. Her quirky characters, her kick ass female leads, her storylines were all great fun. definitely will be reading the other books in this series.

Funny and interesting start to this series

There are two stories in this book and both are connected. The first book is about Mason and Dez. I love her dogs and how they were afraid of Mason. The second book is about Brandon and Ronnie I enjoyed the interaction between all of the different shape shifters. The stories were entertaining and amusing.

Laurenston and Charlotte Kane are a perfect match!

Charlotte Kane does an amazing job as narrator! I wish she would narrate for all Laurenston's books, not to mention more books in general!

Fun

This was fun to listen to. Be prepared to laugh out loud throughout it. it definitely keeps you interested.

This is the first book with two stories in it that introduces the reader to the lion pride and wolf pack.

This series is my go to series. I read them over and over again.

Where does The Mane Event rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love listening to a good series of books and this one is off to a good start! The set up is easily imaginable. The details are excellent!

Who was your favorite character and why?

The lead male Mace is my favorite because he knows what he wants and has always wanted, Desiree.

Have you listened to any of Charlotte Kane’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

I enjoyed the playful interaction between Mace and Dez! His best friend Smitty is a comical bonus to the storyline.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Mane Event to be better than the print version?

Yes and No. I love reading it. But hearing it does help me put a few things together,

What did you like best about this story?

Love Dez better than Mace but they were made for each other.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I wish she could do male voices better. But its easier said than done.

Wow so much better than expected

Where does The Mane Event rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I've listened to a lot of audible books, probably two a week. I drive a lot and without them the drive is just boring. I guess I would rank this near the top. It is funny, sexy & sweet. I love the narrator, what a great job.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character would have to be Dez, but I liked Mace as well. Dez is a tough city cop, former marine and all around hard ass. Mace, her childhood friend tears down some of her protective walls and gets her to see him as a possible mate. How this would work out in the long run is anyone's guess, I mean, human and lion, really?

Which scene was your favorite?

I would have to say, when Mace tells/shows her who he really is.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Impossible, crazy sexy love story
