The Man Within is an erotic take on the classic dilemma of star-crossed lovers, a difficulty that has haunted relationships for centuries. When Roni was just a young girl, she happened upon Taber, one of the genetically modified Feline Breeds. A bond instantly formed between the two and, as Roni grew up, her fantasies of Taber became more explicit and less hypothetical. With a provocative performance from Stella Bloom, this audiobook from Lora Leigh's Feline Breeds series is a passionate and intense story of two people fighting to sustain their relationship.
Book 2 of the Feline Breeds
He had protected her as a child, filled all her teenaged fantasies and stole her womanly heart, only to break it. Now, fifteen months later, the news has released. The man she loves is one of the genetically altered Feline Breeds who have shocked the world with their presence. He's also her mate. The mark on her neck attests to that. The fire that rages in her heart and in her body further proves it. But he hadn't wanted her then.
Does he really want her now? Deceit and treachery born in the past, now haunt the present as Taber and Roni fight to make sense of their sudden bonding, the mating of heart, body and soul. Taber must battle the forces raging against his union with the woman he has claimed as the man and beast within begin to merge.

I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
So.. book 2 in the Feline Breeds... Great Great... Taber and Ronnie were both tricked by the bad breed in book 1 and have been separated for 15mth... they are mate and need to be together.
Great plot, great characters... and great smex...
Well worth the credit or buy...
This book was basically just a string of sex scenes with very little story line. It had so much potential and could be a great series if the author would focus more on the plot rather than the sex. The other problem I had with the book was the borderline rape scenarios.
With all of that said, I have to admit that I was still somewhat hooked on the book and didn't want to stop listening. There was enough tension between the characters to keep me engaged. I convinced myself that this would be the only book in the series that I buy until I got to the Epilogue and am seriously considering listening to the next book in the series. Maybe I'll give it a second chance and hope for a little more story.
The narration was fine. I don't have any complaints about it specifically, but can't give it 5 stars when I have heard exceptional narrations of books.
I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.
I just couldn't get into this one like I did book 1. It does contain the feline heat but theres just something missing from this romance. It's not bad but I do think I could of done without it. I'd say that it is an average listen for me. I've read reviews for the other books in this series so at a later date I'll probably give them a try but for now I'm off to other, hopefully more stimulating, listens.
