Publisher's summary

When Katie Peck went west in the year 1912, looking for her very own cowboy, she had no idea it would take her seven long years to lasso him. She also didn't know she'd need to use every bit of her wit and knowledge of the law to free him from a hanging offence to seal the deal.

This is a charming yet suspenseful story of how determined a woman can get when she wants something strongly enough...especially when she's a spitfire redhead.

Romantically pleasing

This western romance was so fun to listen to! The drama whirring around in my ears all day was enough to keep my eyes wide open with glee. My boyfriend couldn't even get through to me because I was so interested, but he and I both loved Angel Clark's voice!

Historical Fiction

Except for a few rude sexual comments at the end of chapter 20, this book would fall into my Sweet category. It's not technically a romance in my opinion, but a end of the era Western murder trial. With exception mentioned above, I really enjoyed the kangaroo court and slap stick comedy of the escapade!
The narration was exceedingly loud in moments as the characters yelled their objections in court, or similar situations. While if a movie this would have been expected, as an audiobook with or without headphones it was too much. But I did appreciate her emotional outbursts for adding authenticity to the scenes. Most of the actual narrating of the story seemed stifled in its rhythm, Katie didn't have seem to have the same issues.

Western

This is a good short western.its about a guy that's not ready for all the changes. He wants the old ways where cowboys are still real cowboys. It has a mystery thrown in and some romance. It was a very entertaining story to listen to. Angel Clark did a great job narraiting this book. If my review was any help will you please click the helpful link. Thank you.

Western Fun

Enjoyable and entertaining. This is a crossover time between the end of ranching and modern vehicle times. The storyline is interesting and keeps throwing twists at the listener. The Narration is good and easy to understand. Thanks.
