This is a good read when you want to escape and just listen and enjoy. This novel was well written, although the Italian accents weren't the best by the narrator.
Clear and wel read
It was a nice story with just a good amount of angst.
The hero. Sometimes the heroine sounded a little too whiny.
When the hero overcame his adversity.
I was really excited to listen to this book. Was even enjoying it in the beginning, but then things progressed, where I felt and thought, "What did I miss? How did that happen?"
I am having difficulty putting this into words...
this book was offensive to me.
Fertility issues were addressed within the first couple of weeks of marriage.
Adoption was frowned upon by the heroine.
No communication between main characters...
We didn't get a chance to understand the leading man either. It was like reading a "one sided" book, and because the heroine was so insecure, we were unable to "read" into his behaviors.
I hope I make some sense. The heroine was a sweetheart, but needed more backbone.
Oh, how I loved this book. It was one of the sweetest things I've read in a really long time. The love shown in this book was so tender and overwhelming that I found myself crying as if I were the main character. Thanks for such a great story and a wonderful emotional adventure!
I have listened to this book over a dozen times. The story is well written and you can't help but imagine everything happening. I'll look for another book by the author.
Bought this in a 4-audiobook package. All of the books were not so great in my experience, but this was the best of the four. The main character needs some help with her self-esteem.
Lover of ideas who feels no guilt at all about her pleasures.
This novel features the most spineless 'heroine' it's ever been my misfortune to meet. Dominant males aren't my favorite either. It was painful to spend time with these people as they misunderstood their way from stupid conflict to dopey misery. Ew.
