Enter law student Gabrielle O'Callaghan. For Gabrielle, cursed with the ability to see both worlds, Mortal and Faery, it is the beginning of a long, dangerous seduction. But as Adam's quest to regain his immortality plunges them into a world of timeless magic, the price of surrender could be their very lives. Unless they can thwart the conspiracy that threatens both Mortal and Faery realms...and give them a shot at a destiny few mortals ever know: glorious, wondrous, endless love.
Great Scot! Don't miss our other titles in the Highlander series.

"Moning excels at crafting sexy, brawny and brainy Scotsmen, and Adam Black in his Highland blacksmith glamour is one of the best. There's enough sexual tension here to fuel half a dozen normal romances." (The Contra Costa Times)
"Nonstop action for fans of paranormal romance: another lusty fantasy from Moning." (Kirkus)
Adam Blacks appearance in the Highlander series gave him an uncaring attitude about everything. It was a delight to follow him develop feelings and fall in love with the only person that could see him and to be concerned about the human race if the barrier between the realms fell. This book is an excellent listen.
His enthusiasm about what he was reading made me pay attention to every part of the book.
A lot of places in the book made me laugh out loud.
When Phil narrates the character of Adam Black you want to be right there in the story with him. His sexy burr makes you sigh like a teenage girl in love. His witty banter and immense depth Makes each character a living breathing person. Even the females are done with great care and skill. Bravo Mr. Gigante.
This is my favorite book in this series. Each book can be read in any order but reading ths one last makes more sense. I loved the complex depth given to each character is this book. You can really love the hero's and hate the villians. The intense relationship between the main characters is believable and realistic which I think can be difficult to achieve in a fantasy romance sometimes, but Ms.Moning not only pulls it off, she does so beautifully. This book is one of just a few I love to keep coming back for. I wish she would write another series like ths one.
I am a reader and a Librarian--Personally I find all of Karen Marie Monings books an escape that I look forward to reading. I fly through each book only wishing it wouldn't end. Her books have a balance of plot, character development, adventure, action, and sex to keep you interested and wanting more. Excellent!
I've just got to say ladies, if Phil doesn't melt you with his masculine sexy Irish accent through out this romantic story than you need your hormone levels checked out. I'm ready to jump on a plane to Scotland and find me a fine young lad to call me lass. His reading alone made it for me, no other Irish man will do for me. I hear his voice and I melt. He's yummy in my world!
Lover of ideas who feels no guilt at all about her pleasures.
It looks like I'm one of the few people who didn't enjoy this book. I had trouble with it from the beginning, mostly because the narrator's depiction of the heroine was so dreadful. It disturbed me that his idea of a woman's voice was whiny hysteria and the fact that all of the important dialogue was partially delivered in a high pitched scream made it unpleasant for me to listen.
I also thought the story of the invisible Highlander showing up at odd moments to seduce the heroine into returning him to his normal/immortal existence bled from cute to cutesy one time too many. Additionally, there was the now common problem of promising that the sex is going to be fabulous, contriving unconvincing and frustrating ways to delay it, and then making it very unspectacular when it finally happens. This, and the lack of suspense over the outcome, made it impossible for me to finish the book.
Unless you really really enjoy Immortal Highlander stories, I'd think twice about this one.
This is the best book so far! The others 5 were well written and creative. Book six however, pulled it all together for me. I listened while painting a room and had to stop dead in my "strokes" to wipe a tear. This has never happened to my multitasking. 8-)
I loved "visualizing" the first time the "sifted time" together. Especially the tadpole incident. Of course, the anticipation of the steamy love was perfectly executed as well as bringing in the McKelter's.
This was soooo good...Erotic, all the things I love in a book. I cannot believe I've waited so long to read about Adam Black.
The love scene. I had to rewind and listen again. Yummy
Did not go to sleep at all. Now I'm going back to read the other ones.
Thanks Karen Moning.
What I enjoyed most about the last book was how it included the characters from the previous books that I liked so much.
When you actually learned what the plan was.
Phil Gigante is by far my favorite narrator. I am actually looking at books that he narrates rather than by author. A book can be made or broken by the narrator. He is the best.
Unfortunately I read the two series in the wrong order. The Fever series was also great and now I am starting Dani's book.
Sassy dialogue, humor, and a great reader are important to me.
funny lines that make you smile as you listen. The T shirt strategy will just make up light up.
I have purchased all, but have not listened to them. Book 5, is a bit darker story. now this one #6 is so light and fun. I will miss these characters.
whoa, Phil Gigante! This is his best series/reading. His Scots accent is just yummy and I do mean yummy. He transforms our hero and you think he is in the room entertaining you.
I do not know what the other stories have to offer, but this book #6 is just so fun.
This was a great book. I rate it one of my top 10 audiobooks!!!
Adam was my favorite character because he remained true to his character while at the same time becoming more.
The ease in which he can switch dialects.
The very end in the prolouge when Adam finds out he has a soul.
