Nathaniel West doesn’t lose control.
As the playboy CEO of West Industries, he governs the boardroom during the day; as a strict dominant with exacting rules, he commands the bedroom at night. He never takes on inexperienced submissives, but when Abigail King’s application comes across his desk, he breaks his own restrictions and decides to test her limits.
Abby’s combination of innocence and willingness is intoxicating, and Nathaniel is soon determined to collar her as his own. As long as she follows his orders and surrenders herself fully to him, no one will get hurt.
But when Nathaniel begins falling for Abby on a deeper level, he realizes that the trust must go both ways - and he has secrets which could bring the foundations of their entire relationship crashing down....

I love audio books that the characters come to life and have me feeling as if I was there too.
This book is Nathaniel POV and let me tell you what a POV. You will also find out his past and some steamy stories that made him why and who he is. There are some extra scenes that are not in the first book and I enjoyed them. NW is not as bad as he seemed in book 1. The narrator was good and I think worth a credit. Happy Listening!
Disappointed...I thought I was getting a new book with new stories. This is just a recollection of events in the first book only in the male characters point of view. Nothing was really different. Big let down for me.
Absolutely. I listened to the first book "Submissive" and most BDSM books are more often than not portrayed by the thoughts of the female submissive; this one seen through the eyes and heard through the thoughts of the Dominant was refreshingly different.
The most interesting, I suppose, was Nathaniel West's feelings for Abigail and his ability to throw his walls of denial up so easily. No least interesting aspects.
Jerky, but promising.
I believe with time his performance will get better; sounded like he just needed to relax a bit. The timbre of his voice for Nathaniel was sexy and a little sultry - I believe that time and experience will definitely perfect both his male and female voices. Audible (or whomever does the matching) please give him more opportunities.
Yep, most definitely.
Can't wait for the third installment; hope that TSM's books/series continue to show up (in order) on Audible.
The story was told from the males point of view. It brought his character out.
I think that all of the characters were great and they all played an important part in the story.
The parts that moved me most was how Nathaniel's family treated Abbey. They didn't take Nathaniel's side just because he was family.
I loved this story because it had a good story line. I'm not caught up in the sex part of romance novels. That part is only good if there is a good story line behind it. With this said, even though I rated this 4 stars because it had a good story line, in my opinion it still was not as good as Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy.
It is really hard to pick just one moment because the whole thing was great. After reading the 1st book The Submissive I kept thinking what the heck was he thinking. Well in The Dominant you find out and it was not what I expected at all it was so much better and refreshing. In the 1st book you might think he is being a jerk but when you hear it from his perspective it makes sense. And the banter between him and his BDSM mentor if very funny. The narrators voice is AWESOME by the way!!!! It's worth it just to hear the narrator read. Then you have the 3rd book The Training which shows how they blend a regular and D/s relationship together. LOVE this series. It felt realistic and not over the top like some stories.
The story told from the opposite point of view was amazing. All those terrible things I was thinking towards Nathaniel while listening to Erica's story were softened when I learned why ! What an awesome story.
Wish I could lay both stories side by side. The author did an amazing job of weaving both stories together -- not a lot of duplication, just enough so that we could remember what happened when and where.
Pays 2 b good
Sex in public at the Super Bowl
I laughed - no tears though, even during the accident.
Although Nate's perspective was more interesting, he's gets a bit emo sometimes.
I like this 2nd book in the trilogy because I never expected to hear a man's point of view to the same story.. it was refreshing. As a female I like knowing how the opposite sex is reacting so now I have both sides of the coin and I like it...
