Publisher's summary

Bound by the demon of Doubt, Sabin unintentionally destroys even the most confident of lovers. So the immortal warrior spends his time on the battlefield instead of the bedroom, victory his only concern...until he meets Gwendolyn the Timid. One taste of the beautiful redhead, and he craves more.

Gwen, an immortal herself, always thought she'd fall for a kind human who wouldn't rouse her darker side. But when Sabin frees her from prison, battling their enemies for the claim to Pandora's box turns out to be nothing compared to the battle Sabin and Gwen will wage against love.

Don't miss the other books in the Lords of the Underworld series.

Visiting Again

Before all this new technology we all had books at home (LOL) and this is one of the books in my collection. It's sad to say my book collection is contained in a small building. I'm now trying to progress with the times and slowly transfer my collection into our amazing technical devices, so in doing this I'm getting to re-visit those books as I add them to my digital world.

If you haven't read the Lord's series then you need to get this series. It's in my Top 5. It's filled with sexy warriors that are possessed with a demon from Pandora's box. Of course these alfa men don't exactly get along with their demons and it usually gets more complicated when their female enters their life. This seires is packed with all kinds of other creatures to make it much more interesting.

In this book we have the Demon of Doubt and he falls in love with a harpie, and you know it's not that simple because a stunning discovery about the harpie's past is a BIG surprise.

Every book in this series is worth a credit in my opinion (unless it's under $10, then you have the "just buy it" rule) because this is one that you'll want to come back and re-visit from your Library.

Two Funny Flaws

This is a great story and I love the sound of the narrator's voice, but there were just two things wrong with the audio. About three and a half hours through part one, you hear Max Bellmore say: "Sorry I'll do that last part again." And the editor gives him the go-ahead before he rereads the sentence. Same thing about three and a half hours through the second download. The editor suddenly says: "Just give me the end." And Bellmore agrees and redoes the sentence.

Not a big deal, I thought it was more funny than anything else. First time I heard it I laughed and listened to it again. I was just a bit shocked that this happened twice in the same audio book. I always thought someone listened to these all the way through before they were sent out.

But again, not a big deal, doesn't take away from the enjoyment of the book, which is a great story in an amazing series, and I still think Bellmore's voice is perfect for all the characters :)

wonderful series...

Another great listen from Max Bellmore, but I'm wondering if there a 5th book in this series as Gena Showalter kind of leaves you feeling that there more to come, like the lords are not finished doing what they need..... confusing.. but again listen to all 4, they are good...

couldn't put it down!

Bound by the demon of Doubt, Sabin unintentionally destroys even the most confident of lovers, so he swears off women only concentrating on fighing the hunters, until he mets Gwen, an immortal herself, who always thought she'd fall for a kind human who wouldn't rouse her darker side. Through each other they both learn to embrace their darker side and learn to trust each other and then love each other. this was one of the best books yet and I can not wait until the next book. I have to say that Max Bellmore is one of the best narrator's I have ever had the pleasure of listening too and he makes each character stand out on their own with their own voices. He even does the women's voices great. I really hope he continues to be the narrator for the rest of the books.

Great book, Terrific narrator

This is my favorite book in this series so far. They just keep getting better. And Max Bellmore has quickly become my favorite narrator. He really makes each character distinct. His pitch for the hero is perfect. Gives me the shivers! :) I hope he branches out and does more for Audible!

Enthralled by the series!

I love this series! I love that the characters are not isolated to a single book and the whole cast is there from one book to the next. My favorite was book 2, so far, but I am impatiently awaiting the next installment. I like that the story unfolds all over the world and none of the traditional capitals either. Know of any other romances that bring you to Antartica? This is Indiana Jones meets the Jewel of the Nile meets Jason Bourne meets Buffy or Lara Croft... I think... I like how they still have to deal with washing clothes and dishes, etc. I like the arc, or the base story, unfolds with each book as you discover every character's history. Also, they have chosen the best narrator for the job as he is able to produce the deep rumble of the alpha male greek demon we all wish for, but at the same time, he is able to have the voice of a girl, without sounding like a guy trying to sound like a girl. Good, good "read"!
