I REALLY REALLY LIKED THIS STORY!!!

What did you love best about The Darkest Secret?

I loved Amon and Haidee's story, and I loved how it all unfolded...just goes to show you, you can not always judge someone by their past actions..everyone has their own story, and Haidee was just as much a victim as anyone else was!

What other book might you compare The Darkest Secret to and why?

Well its PNR and there is a lot of it out there...this one was really good though!

Which character – as performed by Max Bellmore – was your favorite?

Strider, Paris and William had some Hilarious scenes...and I loved Kaia!!!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Oh this series would make great movies!!

Any additional comments?

I loved this one, I loved Amon and Haidee's story! This one is a bit of a different vibe, and it had some really sexy scenes in it...also some complete hilarity...Amon is a complex charater, and he really is a good man...Haidee was very misunderstood and had a really interesting back story....I am so glad it all worked out the way it did!! LOVED IT!!! On to book 8!!!

good

I'm glad i didn't skip it as I almost did after reading so.e of the reviews on it being horrible, which it definitely was NOT! Yes it is similar to the last few ones but I still loved it none the less. I would recommend it to anyone who has also enjoyed the previous ones. don't listen to what so.e of those reviews were saying because it was still really enjoyable!

A bit stranger than others in the series

But not in a bad way. I enjoyed this book as much as I have all the others and continue to be impressed by both Gena Showalter and Max Bellmore. I've read each of these in order and wouldn't recommend doing it any other way. Each story builds on the previous and you get introduced to each character as they come into the world. It makes it easier to keep them all straight if you get to know them that way.

Some love stories do not have happy endings

Strider has captured Haidee, enemy of the Lords and a Hunter. The more he is with her the more he fights his attraction to her. He knows that he cannot have her, she killed their fellow warrior after all. But then the unthinkable happens. Amun, Keeper of the demon of Secrets, somehow calls her to him. She fights to get to him and believes that he is her boyfriend and fellow Hunter. Through their journey to Hell they discover that she is not a mere human or Hunter she is actually a Haidee demon-assassin & holds a piece of the demon Hate within he. Some love stories do not have happy endings. Can Love find a way even past death?

Get Better and better

As always, another Lords hit. Gena Showalter knows how to make me fall in love with each and every one of her characters, of her immortal warriors. She knows how to captivate me, ensnare me and keep my attention until the last word on the last page.

In this one, the quiet Amun falls for - who seems to be - their enemy. Haidee was captured by Strider in the previous book. She's the Bait the Hunters had used in Ancient Greece to kill their friend and fellow Lord, Baden. Of course, as is Gena Showalter's style, things aren't what they seem, there's always more to it, just scratch the surface and voila, things are revealed! And, as always, we get tidbits about the others - William, Strider & Kaia - and of course that you just want to dive into the next story to read all about them!

I loved how both characters grew to love one another, they had a connection they weren't aware of and, in Haidee's case, 'dream guy' gets a whole new meaning, quite literal, in fact. There was an oh-no moment toward the end, but it was solved because love prevails and nothing is impossible. Not when you have Angels on your side. Which brings me to Zacharel and his story, Wicked Nights, the first book of the spin-off series, entitled Angels of the Dark. Read it!

Read these books, as well. You won't be sorry. 4 1/2 - 5 stars for my babies. I shall never tire of them and I am not ashamed to admit I am addicted to them.

I listen to these books while I'm at work and they always make the day go by quicker. This one however was so funny I had to stop a couple times bc I was laughing so hard. The part where they prank call the keeper of violence OhMyGosh I lost my shit. So funny.
