A story with potential
The story is actually good but the writing is terrible. It almost makes me a bit sad. The voice on the male lead is not attractive.

I enjoyed the story but not the narrator
I always enjoy Coulter books, but the audible narration was less than enjoyable. The robotic voice and poorly performed accents and "gruff" male parts was difficult to ignore.

Great author
I really like Catherine Coulter books.
I’ve read a couple in this series and it was fun to read the first one.

I Love Catherine Coulter!!
If you could sum up The Cove in three words, what would they be?
Quirky, entertaining, funny
What other book might you compare The Cove to and why?
This is the first of the author's FBI series and it's a great opener. This is sort of "Psycho" without the mummified mother at the end.
What about Sandra Burr’s performance did you like?
The reader kept my interest and dramatized the story without making her reading a play.
Any additional comments?
When I first read this story, I didn't like it and didn't thibk it lived up to the second book in the FBI Series, but this second reading brought the story more to life and I appreciated it much much more.

okay story, terrible narration
The story was fun, but farfetched. Clunky dialogue made worse by the terrible narration. The male voices, in particular, were horrible (nasal, pitched, grating). Almost "returned" the book but didn't since I did listen to entire thing.

Interesting concept
The plot is nicely presented and was interesting. The writing could have used one more edit to tighten the narrative. I don't like Sandra Burr's narration- it doesn't propel the story particularly well. Too breathless perhaps. Too urgent too early.
