With the countdown to Christmas underway, interior designer Jackie Frost is surprised to receive an urgent phone call from Santa Claus requesting her help. Once at the North Pole, Jackie gets swept up into Santa's crazy plan to makeover Christmas Central as a surprise for Mrs. Claus.
Several things test Jackie's devotion to the Claus family as the renovations get underway, not the least of which is having to work alongside master craftsman Dean Bradshaw. Dean is handsome, smart, funny, and he has an absolute gift for building things. But what worries Jackie is what he's taking apart, namely the walls she's built up around her heart.

Lover of life!
What better way to kick off December than a holiday audiobook!!! Caroline Mickelson is a storytelling wonder when it comes to feel good romantic comedies. She does a great job of developing characters and feeding the story to the reader in bits...leaving them wondering and wanting more. She develops characters in a way that makes the reader care about the outcome. This audiobook is perfect to listen to while shopping or wrapping presents or any other holiday task.
I am at that half a century mark in years. I enjoy audiobooks, cats, rats and most days my family, not necessarily in that order!lol
This was a short ,sweet fun story.Carly Robins narrated it nicely. When Santa calls his friend,an interior decorator, she runs right away to help him with a gift for Mrs Claus. There is also a contractor brought in.Snowy sparks fly.“I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.”
This was a delightful surprise provided via audiobook boom. I enjoyed this story of Santa intervening to get Jack Frost daughter married to a long time friend of Santa's son Nic. The makeover of the living quarters started out as a surprise for Mrs. Clause but the end result was a sweet HEA. No sex or strong language but a great story. So if you want to listen to a quick love story that has lots of fun and twist then this is a good one to listen to.
It makes me happy to wake up everyday and look forward to listening. Many times I listen while doing artwork. I find it very relaxing.
THE CHRISTMAS MAKEOVER was a cute cozy Christmas story. While Jackie Frost and Dean Bradshaw were thrown together by Santa under the guise of redecorating for Mrs. Claus, I think maybe Santa and Mrs. Claus and the elves were really trying to fix up Jackie and Dean. This was a relaxing, easy, and fun story written by Caroline Mickelson. It was a good listen to get into the Christmas spirit. You can't go wrong here.
I thought Carly Robins' narration was wonderful. She has a nice, warm voice and is also a talented reader. She made a good story even better with her fluid vocal skills.

I listen to audiobooks to keep my mind from numbing during dishwashing and weed pulling. I love historical and comedic romance, and cozies.
Even though you know, within the first few minutes of listening, exactly where this story is going to go, it is an enjoyable, quick listen. My only criticism of the story is that it may be too quick; you're pretty sure you know what's going to happen, but aren't given a chance to relish the development of the relationship as things proceed so quickly.
Carly Robins provides a smooth, enjoyable listen. I especially love what she has done to distinguish all those elf voices -- that could not have been easy! There were a couple of passages in which I found her breaths distracting; this was the first time I'd listened to a book on my phone, though, so this could have been due to a limitation of the phone's speakers, and I didn't notice it throughout the story.
Highly recommend for a light, short, not too smarmy holiday read. I recall nothing that would have made me blush for my grandma or daughter to hear, so I give it an A family-friendly grade.
I received this copy for free at my own request.
I love books...I love storytelling. Audiobooks allow me to enjoy a great story while still being able to do my daily routine. Thanks Audible
I always enjoy a sweet romantic comedy.
When Dean calls Wraps and asks him to tell Mrs. C to come to the cottage. Funny!
Yes. I enjoy her light hearted approach. She communicates the author's intent very nicely.
Ms. Mickelson is known for her fun, romantic short stories. I cold see these on the Hallmark channel. Like the Good Witch series. Wholesome family fun

I like a good short story every once in awhile. I found this one to be short and sweet. What's not to like the daughter of Jack Frost redecorating the North Pole home of Santa as a surprise for mrs clause. Throw in a tummy builder and you have a lovely little romance. Not rated x more like pg. received this book free of charge in order to give an honest review.
I loved the whole idea of falling in love at Christmas. Santa, Mrs Clause, and of course the elves were an added bonus!
I am not sure about a book to compare it to but i would compare it to the movie Santa Baby,
My favorite scene was when Santa announced the engagement and it left the two flabbergasted.
Yes, it was too short to need or want a break
