Publisher's summary

Jennie Grant has always wished to be a healer, but when her clan becomes involved in the violence that has broken out across the Highlands, it shakes her belief in herself. She no longer knows if she can work in a trade where life and death exist in such a fine balance. Desperate to clear her head and spend some time away from the wounded men who crowd the sickroom in the Grant keep, she travels to Lochluin Abbey for sanctuary. But even there, she cannot escape her calling. The abbey sits on the land of the Cameron clan, and when the new chieftain is injured in battle, Jennie is the only person capable of saving him.

Though Aedan Cameron would sooner spend his life as a scholar, reading, and watching the stars than assume a leadership role in his clan, his father's untimely death forces his hand. To make matters worse, he's immediately called upon to ride into battle to protect his land and his people. But everything changes for Aedan when a beautiful girl with a mind as curious as his own heals him. Suddenly, he realizes he's capable of becoming the leader his father wanted him to be while still pursuing the stars. Aedan recognizes his soul mate in Jennie, but can their love survive the mysterious threat to his land?

another swoon worthy story

Ms. Montclair again brings us into the Grant clan to enthralling and exciting adventures with the Grants.
I enjoy series books and this series is almost the best I've ever read.
Narrator Paul Woodson's voice gives you the impression that he loves these stories too and brings each character to life with his interpretation of what they sound like and their own unique personality.

i wish i could love it.....

this could have been good but there were a few things i couldnt get pass.....the narration..... sure this is the same guy that did the one before this but but this time i jist couldn't get past it.... then there were a couple of things that couldnt not have been possible.... 3 days of child birth..... the baby would have been dead.... or both the mother and the baby..... and whole thing about paper... although she addressed it in the author's notes... i feel it was pretty off........ but the narration killed it for me.....

Different Reader

the reader did a good job, however because the first books had a different reader I didn't enjoy the reading, as much as I did the previous books.

Paul Woodson not my favorite narrator

I enjoy the romance stories Keira Montclair writes. The first five books were narrated by Antony Ferguson. I loved the way Antony narrated the books and brought the stories to life. This is the first book narrated by Paul Woodson I listened to. In this book Paul’s narration makes the characters sound whiny or sounding as though they’re always in urgency. The story in between character talking sounds rushed. As I have continued on to other Keira Montclair books that have been narrated by Paul Woodson I've come to enjoy his narration in Keira Montclair's additional books.
