Publisher's summary

In love and war, some oaths are meant to be broken.…

Riding into the arena under the furling blazon of the blue falcon, Sir Conan de Corbney accepts a token from the young beauty Lady Chandra, sparking a romance foretold long ago.

That is, unless Conan’s mother can help it.

Colluding with her son’s rival, Sir Tedric, Lady Udele secretly arranges a more lucrative marriage for her son and weds him to Edwina - Chandra’s older sister - while Sir Tedric claims the fiery Chandra for himself.

Thus begins the star-crossed lovers’ quest, amidst treachery and betrayal, for the path back to each other’s arms. When a knight is pledged twice, once for loyalty and once for love, which oath will prove stronger?

From private chambers to the distant bloodstained shores of the Crusades under King Richard’s reign, The Blue Falcon is a timeless tale of adventure, treachery, and above all, an unforgettable love story.

what a tangled web we weave

when we practice to deceive. this was a great story with a great narrator. I love the way robin Carr gives her stories a feeling of real life through struggles, pain, deceit and enduring love. Loved these characters. I wanted more.

So Glad I explored

When I saw this title by Robyn Carr I didn't think I would like the novel.
Was I mistaken. In true Robyn Carr style I was kept intrigued not wanting the book to end but at the same time excited in the anticipation of knowing how it should end and trying to work out how to get there.

What a waste of time

If Audible wants to put books on 'special sales', we should be able to trust them to put decent books on sale. This is junk. Not well written. No story. Just a waste of time.

Should be categorized as AUDIBLE KIDS!!!!

What would have made The Blue Falcon better?

An adult style of writing, or at least an honest categorization as a children's novel!!!! Also, the narration was consistent with fairy tale style fiction!

What do you think your next listen will be?

I am considering cancelling my membership. I certainly won't be buying any more extra credits. I have hit a SERIOUS dry spell!!!

Would you be willing to try another one of Nicola Barber’s performances?

NO!

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

There are some interesting historical details. That's the only positive thing I can say.

Any additional comments?

Please label genres correctly. I can't believe this wasn't listed under AUDIBLE KIDS.

Not credit worthy

My experience with Robyn Carr is pretty much hit or miss....The Blue Falcon is a miss. Way off the mark MISS! I have no idea how I made it through this book. It wasn't worth the wasted time listening to the rest of it.

The best part was the narrator. The narration is excellent!
