The wealthy Duke of Weybridge knows that everyone loves a good surprise...and a good scandal. He has bounteous amounts of both for the guests at his extravagant birthday ball - particularly for his nieces and nephew, Emily, Isabel, and Lucien. They think his promise to improve their lives means a generous stipend. But he’s got a different gift in mind: finding them perfect matches. His task won’t be easy, because the Arden siblings have given up on love.
Lucien is committed to his freewheeling bachelor lifestyle. Emily was brokenhearted when her engagement ended in disgrace. And Isabel’s dreams for a happy marriage were dashed with a terrible betrayal on her wedding night. As the duke’s celebration approaches, his romantic schemes ignite passions and spark more than a few juicy rumors that will have the ton buzzing for years.

this was a very interesting and entertaining book with multiple story lines that I enjoyed.
I had a bit of a hard time getting invested in this audiobook for some reason but that was probably just me being distracted. There were multiple dramas intertwined but it was fairly easy to follow, if predictable. The characters were interesting and I enjoyed them getting into and out of "situations."
I love Rosalyn Landor as a narrator and she did her usual fine job with this book. In fact, it was her name on this audiobook that caused me to listen to it.
If you want a pleasant Regency romance consider this one.
I couldn't like the female characters in the story. All 3 were so unlikable to me that I hoped the story was shorter.
I downloaded this book a couple of years ago and did not give it a very good score. I listened again because I enjoy Rosalyn Landor so very much.
I thoroughly enjoyed the story this time. The characters were well developed, the story lines kept me engaged. I even found myself laughing at times even though the ending was evident from the beginning.
Ms. Michaels managed to keep the steamy scenes hot while ensuring "the lady was not ruined", no mean feat!
Three great love stories in one book, not the usual loooog books with so many misunderstandings and so much angst just to draw the book out. I loved Max and Isabels story. Loved Gavin and Emily's story but only liked Lucien and Chloe's. The epilogue was not a surprise to me but it was good.
Miss Landor did a good job.
I was just reading an amazon review by Luba Roland who describes this book as raunchy and bordering on porn. Wow, that couldn't be further from my opinion. I found the sex extremely mild, so I totally disagree with that review.
On to my review now..
This was a good story. From some of the other reviews I thought it was going to be 3 separate books. However, it was one story with three love stories woven in that included 2 sisters and a brother all finding their happily ever after at their uncle's Birthday party. Which I was glad for. Good characters, good stories and dialogue with very mild sex scenes.
I listened to this book via audible as I read along and the narration was okay, too many male characters with the same sounding voice was confusing at times.
