Publisher's summary

Lucas Anderson isn't used to anyone telling him what to do. He's the eldest child of the infamous Joseph Anderson and was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. When Dad decides it's time for him to get married, he'll do anything to not make it happen . . . that is until he meets Amy Harper and nearly burns down the building with the sparks that fly.

This is the first book in the New York Times best selling series by Melody Anne that took the world by storm and the beginning of the world-famous Anderson saga. Lucas Anderson is the CEO of the multi-billion dollar Anderson Corporation which employees thousands of people. Amy Harper is his new assistant. Lucas doesn't have an easy time handing over his trust and he can't believe this woman doesn't want anything from him. There's one thing he wants from her, but that leaves them both with something he can never turn his back on.

Take the journey with Lucas and Amy as they navigate whole new worlds for both of them and learn how to trust in this epic beginning to a family everyone wants to be a part of. This story starts with Patriarch Joseph Anderson deciding it's time for his children to be married and give him grandchildren . . . and that's exactly what he'll get.

"As the first book in the series, Melody Anne makes a great first impression with Wins the Game leaving readers craving for more. I am already recommending to friends, peers, and acquaintances. Wins the Game has received two thumbs up from me for sure. As a pondering point, I think it would make an interesting story line for a movie as well. The Billionaire Wins the Game

The Billionaire Wins the Game was quite good for a Romance Package. Often I start to read 10 or so and just delete them before finding anything worthwhile. This story is interesting if predictable. I enjoyed it. Good narrator.

Would recommend

I listen to a lot of books as I travel for work. This held my interest and was not the trivial love story ie: hot stubborn rich guy gets sassy poor girl. It was wholesome in an interesting modern way. Many audible books get lengthy, predictable and too detailed. This one was just right. Give it a try.

Just ok

Didn't love the narrator...light easy listen but lacked any type of depth or sophistication. I'm glad I got it on sale.

One of the best titles I have listened in a while.

What did you love best about The Billionaire Wins the Game?

Everything. The storyline was predictable but the narrator was that good, it kept me listening to the title.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Joseph. Because he was determined to ensure that his son's are happily married before anything happens to him. While it would seem he was mentioned not that often in the title for a somewhat main character... He was the backbone of the title.

Which character – as performed by Lilly Swan – was your favorite?

Jessica. Her innocents was so real and pure.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, when Jessica was found laying in the bathroom on the floor. I thought she was going to lose the baby.

Any additional comments?

Coming from a lesbian this title is well worth the listen. Very nice.

The book was very 50 shades inspired

If you've ever read 50 shades of grey you might recognize some of the story. I'm not saying it's an exact copy, not by any means but it is very inspired by it. In fact the first chapter of each book is nearly identical.

it was more than just a single romance

I enjoyed the family ties. The father's love for his children. His desire to see them happy. He puts his own skills to work and find his children mates. This was more than just a single romance. It was a father that loved his children and wanted something more for them.

The narration was not over the top but it was enough for you to imagine things as they were taking place. You could not help but to fall in love with Joseph Anderson. He was the light.

frustrating

this book was very frustrating ! it was just so predictable and I don't usually read other people's reviews but I just did and I get it . because I am a stickler about finishing things I continue to listen to it. I have other Melody Anne books and this one does not touch her other books. I would not recommend this!
