Love listening to audiobooks, and being swept away by a great story and narrator. It's my therapy, and I need it daily!
The BillionWere was a decent story with a solid plot, action, and some steamy romance. However, I had a hard time connecting to the characters and really only liked Garrett's character. Malinda's character never grew on me and she kept making stupid mistakes.
Overall, this story was ok but not one I would listen to again. However, in the future, if I notice any of Ellie Valentina's other books coming out in audio, I will strongly consider listening to them, especially if I am able to take advantage of the Kindle Unlimited and whispersync the story. (I've already listened to The Alpha's Unwanted Mate and really enjoyed that story.)
Also, I like this was a complete story with no cliffhangers, and at a little over six hours long, the story could easily be listened to in one day.
As usual, Addison Spear does a great job narrating, and I like how she portrays strong female characters.
In a world where animal spirits merge with random humans to create "shifters," Garrett a billionaire shifter and a single father, hires Malinda Rose to be a live-in nanny for his son Brandon. There is an immediate attractions between Garrett and Malinda but more importantly Brandon likes Malinda and she makes a great nanny for him. Because Garrett harbors life threatening secret's, he must ensure his son is protected at all times and Brandon is never allowed to leave the safety of the mansion.
Malinda slowly learns of Garrett's closely guarded secretes when a werewolf is spotted several times on the mansion's grounds and one of his employee's is suspected of being killed by this werewolf. As things between Garrett and Malinda heat up, she starts to suspect he's the werewolf, until he actually saves her and Brandon from being attacked by this werewolf. Due to the increased confrontations with the werewolf, Garrett eventually confidences in Malinda and tells her the story of the wolves who tried to kill him. During this attack on his life, he defended himself, and as a result, one of the wolves was killed in the process. Now, a lone wolf is out for revenge and will stop at nothing until Garrett loses everything.
In addition to the werewolf attacks, there is a also a trader in Garrett's trusted employment that is out to harm Malinda. With threats coming from different directions, Malinda will have to find her inter strength to fight back and defend herself and help keep Brandon safe.

This is a great book written by Ellie Valentina and narrated by Addison Spear. This book can be listened to in one sitting if you have the time, once I started listening to it I didn’t want to put it down until the end. Malinda Rose accepted a job as a live-in nanny at a plush mansion in Manhattan, it sounded easy. Room, board, and a nice paycheck; however, she really had no idea what she was getting herself into.... The owner of the mansion is reclusive billionaire Garrett Millieur, a man who surprises her with his youthful good looks and attractively authoritative nature. Amongst other things, he makes an odd request, that his son Brandon must never leave the mansion. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. This was such a great read and full of surprises.
The narrator Addison Spear did a great job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to in one sitting. I didn’t want to stop listening until the end.
If you are looking for a great book with great characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.

This was an amazing read. From beginning to end, this book was filled with action. The simple fact that Melinda was so feisty made this book awesome. I also like the fact that one never really knew what Garrett was until it was actually revealed. It's awesome when a book can make you think one thing and then turn around in the same breath and prove you wrong. There wasn't a whole lot of sex in this book, but there was tons and tons of romance, loads of action. I really like this been on the shifter genre.
Overall, the story was very well written. Everything flowed smoothly and the narrator was on point as usual. Ms. Addison Spear did it again. I really like listening super narrations of stories. This was my first book by Ellie Valentina, but I did enjoy it.
I loved the author's definition on Weres. it was interesting viewing Weres from her aspect. I like her version of them better than most other Were books I've read. I also loved the story she told, a couple finding love because of their love of, "Young Master Brandon", a little boy. But I felt like they feel in love to quick. the whole book happened to quickly. I wished for a bit more elaborating details, I got confused a few times when I was listening to certain scenes and trying to picture what was happening. and also what about Milinda's dreams???? I didnt like how she forgot about her dreams all because she feel in love.
I never paid much attention to the voice but I loved her voice!
No I felt like the author was rushed the story. everything happen way to quick

Books give a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything. - Plato
The story is quite different from other shifter romances. It was unusual to think of the animal side as a spirit instead of a generic make up.
Malinda was looking for a job and ended up at a mansion to apply for a nanny position. She bonded with the ten year old boy quickly and was hired. Little did she know that there were a lot of crazy things going on that mansion.
Garrett hires Malinda after watching the way she interacts with his son. Unfortunately, Malinda takes his son to the park and Garrett goes ballistic. It is odd not to let the boy leave the house. He is hiding secrets but it's not what it seems.
There is drama, suspense, action, and romance. It is an interesting story with a few twists and turns.
The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life.

The whole aspect of there being different types of were-animals was interesting. To discover how the author explained it is always fun and intriguing.
I really enjoyed how Malinda viewed the world. It was fun to watch her discover the secret of the household and how she viewed it.
She did a great job. Her voices kept me interested in the storyline.
Yes, the whole aspect of people being able to be were-whatever is interesting and fun to read about. Each author had their own spin on the situation.

Interesting and entertaining good story with action, a little bit of romance, mystery and suspence.
Different take on the shifter world. Animal spirits bonding with random humans. Didn't really care for this, but it did give the story an unusual and unique story line. The story flowed well and kept moving forward. Really liked Malinda's character, even though she did seem a little dense at times. Loved little Brandon. Garrett took a long time to warm up to, but once the rough edges wear off he was a really likable character. I did like the fact that you were never quite sure what shifter Garrett was until farther into the story. If the story had been just a little longer with a little more romance, it would have been great.
Addison Spear's narration was good. Although she has a very pleasant voice and it is easy to listen to, there is not a lot of difference between the male and female voices.

** One or Two Easy to Guess Spoilers**
The story starts off a little slow.
The Male lead, Garrett Millieur, is fighting himself and his nature.
The Female, Malinda Rose, lead is a little wishy washy.
Garrett needs a nanny, Malinda needs a job.
The fact that the nanny position is a live-in arrangement is an added bonus
Garrett has one rule, he doesn't want his son to be taken out of the mansion by Malinda, EVER.
Of course she has an issue with that and goes against his wishes.
I did get a little annoyed with Malinda for not sticking to her agreement with Garrett.
Whether she understand or not, she agreed, therefore she should have followed her agreement with him,
especially since Garrett provided a job and a roof over her head.
Despite the "misunderstanding" between Malinda and Garrett overall the story
was rather interesting.
The narrator did.. ok with this book.

I have listened to hundreds of audiobooks and i'm sure that includes hundreds of paranormal books. Although the book was a good quick listen I wouldn't rank it in the top 10 paranormal books.
Young Master Brandon was my favorite character. Even though he was a young boy he was stronger and braver then his dad gave him credit for.
I had no problem with the narrator and think she did a fine job.
Don't want to give anything away but there were a few scenes in the book that I didn't see coming.

There was no real description. No opportunity to really delve into the world of the book.
While the preface story is very good there was no follow-through with the plot.
Melinda, I liked the character a lot. she was smart and independent.
There was no romance it was all wham bam thank you mam.
