Publisher's summary

Everyone in Bell Harbor thinks career-minded plastic surgeon Evelyn Rhoades needs a husband. Everyone, that is, except for Evelyn…sort of. Even if she did want a husband (which she doesn’t…most of the time), she’d never let something as intangible as fate determine who she marries. No, if she’s going to find someone to spend her life with, she’ll do it scientifically: With a carefully crafted list of criteria and an Internet dating site.

But when intoxicated, law-breaking Tyler Connelly crashes into her life by way of a stolen Jet Ski, unruly emotions defy common sense. Sure, he’s sexy, charming, and determined to win Evelyn’s affection, but all evidence points to him being the worst possible choice. He’s too young for her. Too irresponsible. Too underemployed. And, oh yeah, he’s her patient.

But Tyler knows firsthand how the best-laid plans can crumble under the weight of destiny. Now all he needs to do is to teach Evelyn that, in matters of the heart, love often supersedes logic.

Nice beach love story

This was a very typical love story that happens quite often. Women often have a requirements list if qualities they want their husband to be packaged with. However that is not always true love so it was refreshing to witness these characters be ok with true love instead of the status quo

Feel good story

For years, everybody has been comfortable with me and being older than women. It’s about time we get comfortable with men being younger than women. I loved the story. I loved the vulnerability of the characters.

Cute Small Town Romance 💙🩺🚤♥️

I really enjoyed this story of figuring out what is important. Evie is a successful doctor looking to finally settle down and find the right man. Tyler is younger, and not the kind of man she thinks she wants. Until she gets to know him.

There are so many things more important than money and prestige, and as Evie and Tyler navigate their relationship, both of them determine what is most important in their lives.

The characters from Bell Harbor are incredibly entertaining and I really enjoyed revisiting this town. This is a good series.

The narrator does a good job. She is believable as Dr Evelyn Rhoades.

The Best Medicine

Oh my goodness, going back to Bell Harbor was so much fun! Same crazy characters and more. Evelyn is a plastic surgeon who is not really looking for love but when she is called to the emergency room to stitch up a patient she finds it, sort of. Tyler just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and, of course, fixing his family's messes, but he is the one caught on the short end when returning the jet ski it crashes and lands him in the ER. Luckily this is where he meets the Doc. I love Bell Harbor!

Much better narration!

Typical love story plot. Okay for some mindless summer beach or mountain vacation reading/listening. The biggest difference between this book and book one of the series was a much better narrator. I would’ve quit it if it was the same narrator but Amy McFadden did a fabulous job.

love

love isn't always about money and money isn't always going to bring people happiness. This book is a perfect way to show that our standards can always be lowered and if we see people for who we are that's where true love comes in. a friend or your spouse that becomes your then that is the perfect medicine.
