Everyone in Bell Harbor thinks career-minded plastic surgeon Evelyn Rhoades needs a husband. Everyone, that is, except for Evelyn…sort of. Even if she did want a husband (which she doesn’t…most of the time), she’d never let something as intangible as fate determine who she marries. No, if she’s going to find someone to spend her life with, she’ll do it scientifically: With a carefully crafted list of criteria and an Internet dating site.
But when intoxicated, law-breaking Tyler Connelly crashes into her life by way of a stolen Jet Ski, unruly emotions defy common sense. Sure, he’s sexy, charming, and determined to win Evelyn’s affection, but all evidence points to him being the worst possible choice. He’s too young for her. Too irresponsible. Too underemployed. And, oh yeah, he’s her patient.
But Tyler knows firsthand how the best-laid plans can crumble under the weight of destiny. Now all he needs to do is to teach Evelyn that, in matters of the heart, love often supersedes logic.

This was a very typical love story that happens quite often. Women often have a requirements list if qualities they want their husband to be packaged with. However that is not always true love so it was refreshing to witness these characters be ok with true love instead of the status quo
The author is good. I like how she inserts a lot of humor into her characters. It is a predictable romance which is ok but the narrator is terrible. The voice she uses wants to make scream with annoyance.
This book was so funny. I thought it started a little slow. I wanted Tyler and Evie to spend more time together sooner in the story, but the book was funny. Those dates she went on were comical. The people in the town were funny. Tyler was a total sweetheart. The only character I didn't like was Hilary. She was mean. All in all, it was a good story. I will read more of her books. Don't believe the negative reviews. This book was by far the best audiobook I heard so far.
This was a fun book that made me laugh out loud while driving. It's not a deep story, and I probably wont read it again and again, but I enjoyed it.
I love Tracy Brogan's sense of humor and I especially enjoy Evie (the leading lady). She's very career oriented and has goals for her life, but as we know life does not always go as planned. Having lead a rather sheltered life, Evie might not see the humor in the world around her the characters in her life will make you giggle-snort, especially because these people are all around us.
I think Amy McFadden's narration is excellent!
Narrators voice was "like , oh my god"
It drove me nutty. The over all story line was ok but lacked depth of characters. The main character was my least favorite with her cluelessness.
