Great Story, Likable Main Character

Another great story by Kristin Higgins. Faith is an easily, likable main character. I want her to be my friend!! Going on to the next Higgins book!

Good beginning to a series

This is the first book in a series and is a good beginning. Faith was jilted at the altar by her amazing boyfriend. The jilting came about with pressure from the Best Man! Faith was devastated since she had loved her fiancé for years and they were perfect together. Her fiancé and the best man were long time best friends, They were from different sides of the railroad tract (the best man was from the bad side). Faith left town and stayed away for years. She eventually returns to town and is confronted with both her former fiancé and the best man. It is very difficult for her to deal with either of them but she must do so since it is such a small town. This book takes you trough the heartbreak and ends with Faith knowing how to deal with the two men. Really a good book!

This was a cute read. Yes it made me both laugh and cry at times.

This was a nice light read. Loved the family dynamics and how the dog played such a leading role.

What does Amy Rubinate bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Amy did a nice job. It felt like she was Faith.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Very much so.

Not my favorite

I discovered Kristan Higgins’ books and Xe Sands as a narrator. And I didn’t care so much for this one. She sounds flat and at times like she is just reading, not acting the parts.
I don’t understand why changing the formulas when they work.

Lazy day read

The book was simple and didn't require a lot of focus to follow. A good book for a lazy day to just drift off and enjoy. Simple plot and predictable. Nice read.

Would you listen to The Best Man again? Why?

I could listen to this book OVER AND OVER!! I reviewed the book and it was probably the best I have read in 2013 (I believe it was 2013),and the audio just brought the story to life.

What other book might you compare The Best Man to and why?

If you LOVED THE BEST MAN, you must read everything else by Kristan Higgins. She is a must read always!

What does Amy Rubinate bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Faith was hysterical in the book, but to hear it being read aloud, was just LAUGH OUT LOUD!! And Levi... fell even deeper in love!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I am always moved by a K. Higgs romance, I laugh, I cry and I LOVE! One of the best moments, when he comes to explain about the accident...OMG! Levi is good people!
