Roman decides to settle down without giving up his travel-intensive job, and as one of the most handsome men in town, he can have his pick of the local women - except for Charlotte Bronson, his high-school crush.
Thoughts of her parents' miserable long-distance marriage keep Charlotte from accepting Roman's proposal, despite the sexual sparks that fly at their every encounter. Mutual attraction eventually proves too powerful to resist, but first Roman must win her trust.

The story was entertaining, but the narration ruined the enjoyment of it. The narrator made all the females in the story sound like high-pitched childish characters.
I thought the story was very cute, but I couldn't finish listening. I got about half-way thru the story. I agree with previous reviewer, he ruined the female characters voices. It made them sound cartoonish. Usually I can muddle thru, but this time I just couldn't listen any longer.
I like Carly Phillips and I like her character inter actions. The storyline is believable and moves long at a good pace, keeping you interesated and engaged. It is a great book to listen to when your mind is totally overloaded. It is enjoyable and does not require complete concentration. HOWEVER! This male narrator makes the women voices sound awful. All the women characters sound like a spoiled rotten valley girls. I almost wonder if the narrator ever talked to a real women. The book itself really rates as a four star but because the narrator was so horrible, I can only gives this a 3 star.
I loved this book - the narration was great, the story was great and I would give it 4 stars all the way around. It's a cute romance with a little zip and a few intriguing problems thrown in. Not for the deep thinker, but more for a fun, uplifting fling. I really enjoyed this audiobook and have already ordered the others in the series. This is worth the credit if you like romance and I heartily recommend it!! Judy from SC
You can't go wrong with Carly. Her books always deliver humor, warmth and of course a love story. I appreciate the unusual challenges her characters deal with.
As with Susan Elizabeth Phillips and Susan Mallery, you just can't lose here!
I hate to give a bad review, but I do believe if there was a different narrarator, I would've enjoyed the book more. It wasn't a well written book, but the narrarator made a bad thing terrible!!! Don't waste your money.
I usually like any book written by anyone...but this book was OH so boring. The storyline was weak. Very light book that gets a few laughs out of you though. Good luck!
