Generations of werewolves have been secretly residing in a secluded valley a stones throw from Grundy, Alaska. So when a snooping Outsider comes to Grundy to investigate rumors of lycanthropic shenanigans in the area, the valleys pack alpha, Maggie Graham, resolves to chase him away, even if doing so takes a quick bite on the butt. What a pity that researcher Nick Thatcher turns out to be so drool-worthy, and that his kisses make Maggie want to sit up and beg. Maggie just cant seem to convince Nick to leave... and even worse, she cant convince herself to stay away from him.
Cross-species dating is problem enough for a harried alpha female, but on top of that, a rival group of werewolves is trying to move into the valley. With interpack war threatening, Maggie cant afford to be distracted. Combining romance and a career can be tough for anyone; for a werewolf in love with a human, it may be disastrous.

I would recommend this book to a friend, with the proviso that they read book one from the series entitled "How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf" first. This is another light read and I am happy to report that the comedic value is still there, just as it was in book one.
I enjoyed the way Ms. Harper continued the characters from book one. The new characters work well. Also, we had the opportunity to learn about Mo Weinstein's current situation, which I enjoyed very much.
Amanda Ronconi's performance is stellar - my favorite scene involves an outrageous theory about Mo Weinstein. Ms. Ronconi's reading of this scene is wonderful and made me laugh out loud - which confused those in the restaurant where I was eating a quick lunch by myself!
The story tries to follow the same plot line as book one. This is unfortunate as there is one plot twist that doesn't work as well in this book as it did in book one. I don't know if there will be another book in this series. If there is, I hope the author understands that it isn't necessary to follow the formula used in book one throughout the entire series. However, I thank her for both books and the enjoyable time I had listening to them.
This was just too funny and clever and (howlingly) romantic! Kept me interested and entertained the entire time - in fact I had trouble getting my work done while listening. Cant wait to listen to the next one!
This is my first Molly Harper book and will be going back for more!I As someone from North of the 48th- I can appreciate the dry, tongue in cheek, often gallows humour that often occurs in people snow-bound 8 months of the year. The narrators comedic timing hit that humour perfectly, it was like listening to someone down at the local coffee shop telling the story. A great pairing of author and narrator! I'm going to be checking out the rest of Molly's books. Light, funny, sexy- a great read! Thanks Molly!
Happiness is a good book!
Molly is one of my favorite authors. This book was very good, very funny, the characters are loveable too! I didn't think this series was a funny as the Jane Jameson series but it was still very good!
Did not know what to expect based on the cover but it is a great listen. Great story full of humor, love and thrill. LOVEd it!!!!!
Again, the narrator totally gets Molly Harper's humor and let me just say that any book written by Molly Harper and narrated by Amanda Ronconi will be in my Library!!!!!
Dave started listening to this first. He kept laughing out loud every few minutes so I knew I needed to find out what he was hearing. I found it as enjoyable as he did. As I got to the best parts I would stop and tell him where I was so he got to LOL twice for the same situations. Hilarious situations make the book a fast read. I will definitely keep this selection in mind as a book to lighten my mood when I am reading something heavy. Can't wait to listen to more by this author! Kathy
I'm a big Molly Harper fan. I didn't have as many laugh-out-loud moments with Maggie - she's a little more complicated than charming and funny Mo from the first book in the series, but I loved coming back to Grundy, AK. Very cute, light-hearted paranormal romance. I highly recommend Molly's Nice Girls Don't series. Amanda Ronconi is always great - so 5 stars for her!
I love Molly Harper's books and this one is no different. It's funny and quirky and at times makes me actually laugh out loud.
I listened to this while running a half marathon this weekend. It was highly entertaining and kept my attention riveted. It created just the right amount of distraction.
Another funny and snarky book by Molly Harper, and as always, Amanda Ronconi's narration is dead on. I'm hoping another book is right around the corner!
