Recommended
I do enjoy listening to Laural Merlington tell a story. Her telling of Tender Rebel is as wonderful example. It is a just punishment that Anthony who could have just about anyone he wanted is turned away by the one woman that matters. Then, even as he knows she wants him, she doesn't trust him an inch. It is a continual amazement how many problems pride can cause and prolong.

The Narration was exact I felt like I was there. The Malory Series is one of my favorites. This pulsates with Desire and Fullfillment.

Excellent Books, Okay Narration
Have always loved these books. Happy to find them as Audio books. Have to say though, the narrator isn't bad but for her making everyone sound like they are in their 60's instead of younger adults.

Almost everyone sounds like an 80 year old man
What did you like best about this story?
I like the Malory family. Because the book is just one in a large series, you really get to know and like, even secondary characters.
Have you listened to any of Laural Merlington’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I don't really like how she portrays any characters. The men (and some women older than 30) sound like crotchety 80 year olds. And even when the book states that the main woman can speak without a Scottish accent, the narrator still gives her one all the time.
Any additional comments?
I wish Johanna Lindsey's books were narrated by another person, to give more options.

The actual story, love anything Johanna Lindsey writes!
Love the story but the narrating left something to be desired. Not trying to be mean but all the Mallory brothers are big strong deep voiced men….not 90 year old Ebenezer Scrooge as that is what they sounded like. Mens voices were very lacking in regards to their age and personalities.
