Publisher's summary

After three romantic flame-outs in a year and a restaurant career going nowhere, Dani Buchanan needs a fresh start. She goes looking for her biological father, but never expects to find a senator running for president. As his long-lost "love child", Dani could seriously derail the election - something his handsome campaign manager, Alex Canfield, isn't going to let happen.

Dani isn't about to let Alex run her life, no matter how tempting she finds him. And Alex isn't going to allow Dani to melt his cynicism, no matter how close he has to get. The last thing either of them wants is love, especially with scandals brewing and family trouble on the way. But Dani and Alex are forced to trust each other, and when trust turns to passion, the potential for disaster is only a tabloid scandal away.

YuM (I know, corny.. but i just dont care!!)

It was amazing! 5 stars all the way. I love susan mallery and i love these stories. It breaks my heart that this is the last one. AMAZING! Good pace to the book, awesome characters as usual.. , and like all of malleries books an excellent romance without such extreme sex that you feel embarassed to listen on the bus. Dont get me wrong its still hot... amazingly hot .. but its tasteful, and romantic, and not pornish at all!

Great Ending to a Great Series!

Tempting was everything I thought it would be. Ms. Mallery has ended the Buchanan series with style and grace.
This story was the 4th in the Buchanan series (Dani Buchanan) and it had all the humor, sex and "food" as all the previous novels. Of the four, this is my 2nd fave next to Irrisistable. The relationship between the male/female lead was funny, considering they didn't like each other at the beginning. The storyline was interesting, lots of banter and the book moved fast. I highly recommend this romance!

A fun read, but troublesome concept

I love this series, and find the characters rather engaging and memorable. This book is well written and amusing, but I find the storyline a little disturbing. As someone from a family with lots of adoption and blended relationships, the relationship between the two main characters just didn't sit well with me. I had trouble getting past it to enjoy the story. All in all, a fun light-hearted listen, but may be a little squicky to those of the "hybrid family" crowd.

A little whiny

I really liked the rest of this series but I found this character a little self-absorbed and whiny. I wanted to quit the story half way though except I liked the other characters too much.

Another amazing Susan Mallory read in this series.

Where does Tempting rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I loved this book in the series. The story was fun and quirky. The narrator was great at doing all the voices and that's not an easy job when you have multiple characters and personalities. All in all, I truly loved the whole series of books that connected these characters. I couldn't wait for the sequels to come out to continue the story. READ IT AND YOU'LL AGREE TOO. ENJOY, AND HAPPY READING OF SUSAN MALLORY'S BOOKS.

WATCH OUT FOR DRAGONS!

Where does Tempting rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I would have to say in the top half of the audio books due to the way content was handled.

What did you like best about this story?

The waly the story showed both sides of the political arena and family life, with someone trying to maintain an ordinary life while finding something they didn't know they were searching for in the first place. Eureka, the discovery!!

Which character – as performed by Therese Plummer – was your favorite?

Alex with his loyalty and integrity.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Nice ending to a great series

Although this wasn't my favorite book, it was sill a nice ending to a really great series of stories by Susan Mallery. I loved some of the supporting characters, and it was a nice way to round out the series. If you can, I recommend starting with the first book of the series, Delicious.

It also would have been better had they contracted Therese Plummer (she narrated Delicious) to narrate all of the stories because this narrator wasn't very good. But, all in all, it's worth listening to.

Hated it

This is the kind of book that gives romance novels a bad name. Totally contrived and ridiculous. I should not have finished it.

Great Series

I loved this series, read all 4 within a week! My only problem with it was that I really enjoyed Therese Plummer's narrations on book 1 and 4; I would have preferred she narrate all the books. She did a fabulous job with the voices, I recognized who was speaking at all times.

Didn't like the narrator

The story was good with a surprise for the last of the Buchanan siblings. This narrator read the first book as well as this one. She was able to make one of the siblings "Reed" sound like a total jerk even through we all know through reading these books that he is not. Unfortunately this was probably my least favorite of the four books in this series.Even through the narrator was not my favorite, I had to know how the story ended.
