Publisher's summary

BOOK TWO OF THE GALLAGHERS OF ARDMORE TRILOGY

High above the tidy village of Ardmore on a windy cliff, there is magic and music in the air, and #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts will help you find it…

A talented songwriter, Shawn Gallagher spends his days lost in reverie and wonder, oblivious to the wiles of women and the ways of the world. He claims that he’s content with his life, but his music tells a different story - one of loneliness and desperate longing…

No one understands why Shawn doesn’t put his musical gift to profitable use - least of all Brenna O’Toole, a fiercely independent tomboy who has been secretly in love with him for years. But it is only when Shawn gives in to the mysteries of magic that he gets the chance to fulfill his destiny as a man and a musician.

A lot of fun

I loved the book - the story really is a sweet love story. The narrator is mostly o.k. but does have her moments of brilliance.

Good story, great narration

I like the story and love that it’s set in Ireland. My favorite part of this was the way she voiced the characters.

A great sequel, will certainly make you happy

If you could sum up Tears of the Moon in three words, what would they be?

Happy, Funny, Enjoyable

What other book might you compare Tears of the Moon to and why?

I would of course compare it to other contemporary novels by Nora Roberts. This is certainly a book of hers worth checking out. I remember reading it many years ago and enjoying it and the same rings true for now.

Have you listened to any of Patricia Daniels’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I listened to her reading of the first book in this series. I was pleased they toned down the echo effects as they were distracting in the first book. For the rest she was great and stuck to her voices well.

Sigh

Say what you will about romances written in the 90’s - some can be problematic - but I swear I’ve been reading Nora Roberts romances for more than 30 years - and my favourites are her trilogies with a bit of magic. I’m always surprised to find one I haven’t read - and it makes me happy to lean into them each time. And how can you not love these characters? Sigh. Just a happy wonderful story - with only minor angst - which I love. Who needs a romance to stress you out. I love it.
