Not what I expected - so much better!

I chose this book because of the narrator. It's my first book by Emma Chase and therefore had no idea what to expect. I was captivated by her style of writing and enjoyed that the story was told from the man's point of view. There were plenty of tender moments but oh so many humorous ones. Did not expect that either. I am now a fan of this author and glad I already have the next book in the series so I can keep going. I would highly recommend this book to anyone!

Loved It!!!

I loved this book! I laughed out loud so many times...in tears from laughing, the story had a real spin on it...loved it! Never read a book from guys point of view very different...the narrator was totally awesome!

Loved it! Can't wait to read the entire series.

Which character – as performed by Sebastian York – was your favorite?

I love the snarky arrogance in Sebastian York's style. I would love it if he narrated all male POV's in every novel. I just adore him and get very excited when I see his name listed as the narrator.

OMG! Stop what you're doing and read this!

I love that this book was written from the mans point of view!! I was thrilled the author used real words for sex and now flowery crap!! My husband is definitely gonna benefit from my reading this!! So hot!!! I'm gonna download the whole series and anything on audio this guy reads. His deep sexy voice made it perfect!

Surprised I liked it

The way this story - male POV, not exactly sequential and as a conversation - makes it refreshing read. The humor is also very much appreciated. The performance was on point as well. What I thought could be a tale of two spoiled brats turned into an okay read.

From a guy's perspective....

The story line is interesting and I found myself wanting both characters to be happy. The narrator had a definitely sexy voice. I suppose it's possible that most men think the way Drew, the main character, does ... but I felt it was a little over the top in trying to impress upon the listener that all any man wants is sex and cares little about anything else. I got a little tired of everyone being referred to as a douchebag and worse ... so I guess "from a guy's perspective" story isn't for me. lol Steamy scenes. Great narration. I really did like the story, I just didn't care for it being told "by a guy".

Absolutely surprising!

This book was funny and full of surprises! Emma Chase is new to my collection. I may have found my new favorite author 😃.

Sebastian York is one of my top narrators so I decided to try this one. What an outstanding find! Emma Chase provides a hilarious story that kept me laughing so hard I had to pull over in my car from tears and my side hurting from laughing so much.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

This will definitely be in my collection for those days I need a good laugh because I will have to read this one again many times.

Tangled

While out on one of his Saturday night find a book up. Drew sees a gorgeous brunette, when he walks up to her she tells him she's engaged and her and her friends are celebrating her new job. Since he never got her name he was still thinking about her when her father introduces the new hire Kate. When Drew looks up it's the gorgeous brunette. Can he go against his work rule? No book ups with co-workers? And what about her fiance? Great read

Good Read/Listen

Emma Chase created a full back-drop to a story we have read over and over. her characters are well developed and the story flows strong and clear. I do recommend this Book if you are looking for a HEA type of story. Drew is a self centered, gets what he wants type of character. He is thrown off his game by a lovely Kate. Drew's character develops into a better person, because Kate was able to say "NO" for a while. This story was fun, and worth the credit. I do recommend it. As always Sebastian York worked his magic and made the story enjoyable.

What about Sebastian York’s performance did you like?

I don't think I've ever listened to anything performed by Sebastian York before, but I am absolutely going to start looking for other books he has done. He is AMAZING!!! Not sure what the new thing about a male & female narrator is all about, but I prefer a really good narrator doing all the voices. Sebastian York is trully a genious. I was able to tell which character was which with no problem

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES!!!...I was sucked in to this book right away...Unfortunantly sleep is needed...

I loved all of Drew's reference quotes. Many many laugh out loud moments, I'm sure my fellow workers were wondering what was so funny... I have put off getting this book and am now sorry I waited so long. I will absolutely be getting the rest of this series. I loved the fact that this book is written from the man's point of view..
