Publisher's summary

Adria, wolf changeling and resilient soldier, has made a break with the past - one as unpredictable in love as it was in war. Now comes a new territory, and a devastating new complication: Riaz, a SnowDancer lieutenant already sworn to a desperate woman who belongs to another.

For Riaz, the primal attraction he feels for Adria is a staggering betrayal. For Adria, his dangerous lone wolf appeal is beyond sexual. It consumes her. It terrifies her. It threatens to undermine everything she has built of her new life. But fighting their wild attraction proves a losing battle.

Their coming together is an inferno.... and a melding of two wounded souls who promise each other no commitment, no ties, no bonds. Only pleasure. Too late, they realize that they have more to lose than they ever imagined. Drawn into a cataclysmic Psy war that may alter the fate of the world itself, they must make a decision that might just break them both.

Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

REVIEW:
Another great book from Nalini. Seriously loving this series and I am so glad that I took the time to listen to them on audio. Ms.Dawe is an awesome narrator that is able to deliver Nalini’s story amazing way. Thank you to both of theses ladies for this series.

**Okay there may be a spoiler from here. So if you have not read you may want to stop. But I will do my best to be not give much away.

I loved that there was so much of Hawke & Sienna in this book :) I think the people that felt there was not enough (I was not one of them) of Hawke and Sienna in Kiss of Snow will be very happy with how much we get to see the SnowDancer Alpha couple. And they are just as prickly sweet as ever. Of course my main man Judd is in this book. Love love love that guy. I really need to get a shirt that says I <3 Judd. Riley and Mercy make an appearance and stir up some trouble. Battle lines are drawn. An enemy is found. And a new threat looms over the world.

But the main story is Riaz & Adria. These two’s story was so heart breaking. I felt for them on such a deep level that I kept waiting for Ms. Singh to make it right. But she didn’t. There was no bandaid for these two to cover up their wounds. And that made me really sad. BUT!!! Unlike some of the reviews I read. I think the Ms. Singh did right by these two and left a door open for there to become more. I am truly hoping that is the case. I guess only time will tell.

I can’t wait to get into Kaleb’s book. There is so much more to this Former Councilor than meets the eye.

The Civil War Starts

Where does Tangle of Need rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The Psy / Changeling books are my second favorite paranormal romance series with "A Discovery of Witches" being on first place and the "Elder Races" stories coming third.

What did you like best about this story?

I hesitated to buy this book, because I do not like love triangles, but I am glad I read it eventually, because it fleshes out the story of the series as a whole. The love story of Riaz and Adria is only one part of the overall plot. Normally I don't like stories with a lot of characters, but it is okay in the context of this series, because most of the characters mentioned in the book have been introduced more throughly in previous books. For people who did not read the older books of the series, this novel might mention just names indeed; but I am delighted to see how other characters from previous books are faring such as Indigo, Drew, Judd, Hawk, Sienna and Sasha, for example. In contrast to "Tangle of Need", the following book "Heart of Obsidian" has less characters and focuses more on the main couple. This book also made a little more room for the Arrows, and I am so curious about what will happen with Vasic in the new book being published in February 2014.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The liveliness of changeling interaction, their teasing, poking and squabbling makes me smile, sometimes laugh. This is a contrast to psy interaction, which can be dangerous, and multilayered.

it was almost a wonderful story

why could they not have just go through the mating Bond. it was a wonderful story I wish that it would just end with them being bonded. it just ruins the book for me.

Best Yet

This book revisits characters from previous books in the series. I loved this book because the main characters were not "mates" as Riaz did not find his mate before she found and married someone else. Adria does not want to be second best. The author pulled it off because the love between the two is so right. I loved this book!

Wow!!!! Major changes

What made the experience of listening to Tangle of Need the most enjoyable?

Lots of changes in the Psy/Changeling series... I love that we got to see more of the day to day lives and the building of relationship foundations in the Snow Dancer pack I just Love Love Hawk and Sienna!!! Riaz and Adria story was good I like the emotional pull it had on me I connected with Adria and that surprised me because in Kos I did not like her at all..... I have very mixed feeling about Riaz and Lezette... I am excited about Alice and what we will discover about her.... But the way the book ended and the Major Cliff Hanger!!!! Wow now that was enough to make m scream...lol

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love Hawk, I have since the first book but now that we are deeper in the series I am very curious about Vasick.

Which scene was your favorite?

Ming and Sienna

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I wanted to gobble it up all in one bite but knowing I have a full year to wait for the next book I drug it out for 3 days....

Any additional comments?

Can't wait for the next book.. I am hoping that because of that HUGE cliff hanger NS won't make us wait forever for the next book!!!

Another fantastic book in the series

I seriously don't think I'll ever have enough of this series. So many of the you really want them to end it's like an over extended tv series but not this one. This book was just as good as the first book and every book there after. If you haven't read this series it's a must.

Need untangled.

The description of the story is a little misleading. I wasn’t sure I was going to like it because it sounded like Rias was going to have an affair with a married woman, but I might have been sleep reading when I read it. I automatically hate books that have to do with cheating spouses and try to avoid them. Anyway, the story was much better than anticipated, the story did end differently than I had anticipated. I should know better by now that Nalini Singh will pull through, I’m going to start on the Angel series now.

Still so obsessed with this series

I started to notice in the last book that the story was more than just one couples tale. That trend continued and expanded in this book. Besides the story of Adria and Raiz, this book expands the story of Sienna and Hawk as well as some fun peeks at Mercy and Riley. And it sets up book twelve with lots of wonderings about what's up with Kaleb Krycheck. This really turns this into a series book that probably shouldn't be read standalone.

Knowing what I did about Raiz, I wasn't sure how things were going to work for him and Adria. And there was a lot of frustration and anger between them as they react to the unwanted sexual tension. I wouldn't want to be the same room with them near the beginning of this book. But their attraction forced them to become friends and I enjoyed their relationship because of that. They really developed a relationship beyond a mating bond. That's kinda different.

These characters did capture my heart and I hurt for both of them. Neither of them had had much luck with their heart. They really did find a way to heal each other and that makes them unique in a world where the mating bond rules.

The world in this series is going through some changes and I can't wait to see what happens next. Tantalizing hints are dropped about what's up with the former counselor, Kaleb Krycheck and I must admit to be very curious to keep reading. I so love this world and am still incredible obsessed.

If you love paranormal romance with endearing characters, a masterful world and a great story, then this is a perfect story for you.

Love the series.

Where does Tangle of Need rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love this series, but this is the first one I've listened to instead of reading.I didn't feel this was the best book in the series, but the story was good and advanced the main story line. I was really distracted from the story by the narration. I didn't like the narrator at all.

What other book might you compare Tangle of Need to and why?

Any of the other Nalini Singh Psy-Changeling books.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

her voice was just kind of whiny and had this weird accent that just made it sound like narrating the story was exhausting her.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When they first arrived in Venice.

Any additional comments?

I love this series but really disliked the narration.
