Publisher's summary

Edana Chattan senses concerns where people she knows could be in danger. When her brothers warn her they're in trouble, she can't convince her father to listen to her, so with an escort, she tries to locate them. Separated from her escort during a storm, she is discovered by Angus MacNeill, who is tasked to return her home. Only Edana has other notions - and convinces him and his companions to allow her to use her abilities to locate her brothers who are manacled in a dungeon somewhere.

That leads to a faux marriage and more dungeons and more trouble than Angus had ever thought possible. So why is the bewitching, fiery-haired lass making him think of marrying her for real?

Scottish Romance that holds your attention!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved the entire book.

What about Borah Coburn’s performance did you like?

Borah Coburn is a great narrater who provides each character their own individualtiy. It's like watching a play in your mind.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I could derfinately listen to this book in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

The hero and heroine were perfect for each other. A touch of paranormal filled with intrigue and romance with feeling and emotions. Humor, passion, romance, and suspense all in one book.

The heroine is a strong take charge person in a time when this was an oddity. Add to that her special gifts and a neighboring clan who thinks they must stop her to protect her and you have a very interesting adventure.

The hero meets the heroine when they are children but she really never leaves his mind, although he doesn't like to admit to it. He is a strong and perfect match for her character.

The adventure begins early and continues throughout with the couple having to pretend to be man and wife, which says enough within itself. Add to the adventure humor, steamy passion, humor and romance and you have a satisfying read. I didn't want the book to end and I really look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Although I read this book first there was no confusion within the story from not reading the others in the series first. But it without a doubt made me add the others to the top of my to be read list. This is one author that will be added to my favorites list.

Wild Fey Woman

Edana gets messages in her head from her brothers and sees ahead when someone will die. That makes for an engaging tale with tender love, dungeons, planned murder, and much traveling about. Having this as an audiobook was a bit of a problem for me. With over 25 characters and me with some hearing loss, it was hard to follow all that was said, especially the names of people and places. I had read the previous ebook which helped since I had kept a list of characters. The new ones, I just had to put down what I heard ( was the boy Po or Paul etc). I liked that I could hear how Scottish names sounded, but audiobooks should come with a readable list of names and places. The reader did a good job of changing voices, but some were mumbled to my ear. We have been to Scotland enough that the accent was not a problem. The program closed the review when I tried to paste in copy the first time. It was not easy getting back to redo it. I persisted.

Love the accent and the story!!!

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***Received a code from the author to listen to and review the audio version of the book

The cover is beautiful, but Terry’s covers are always awesome :) I’ll take one Highlander please :)

I got this quite a while ago, but I hadn’t had a chance to listen to it until I was stuck on a mower for 6 plus hours doing two overgrown fields on my property. I am not one for historical romances, and I usually avoid them. I should definitely know better when it comes to Terry Spear because she always makes it exciting, fun, and sexy. This is the 4th book in this series, but the only one in this series that I have read (well listened to but same thing)! This is for adults only due to the steamy content.

Edana is a loyal and feisty woman which I love because I want to love my main characters :) Angus is the typical alpha male trying to be in control, but he folds like a table with Edana, and I love it!! There is tons of action, twists and turns, and treachery to keep you entranced whether you are reading or listening.

The narrator was fantastic, and I especially loved that she spoke with the Scottish accent!!

I highly recommend Terry Spear as an amazing author no matter what genre she writes because I haven’t found anything she’s written that I didn’t totally enjoy. I especially recommend trying this book even if you usually run away from historical books like I usually do. Now I’m sad because I have run out of Terry audiobooks, I really need to put audiobooks in my budget!!

AN UTTERLY YUMMY HIGHLAND ROMANCE!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! Angus' and Edana's story was tender, heartfelt and moving. Angus was a yummy hero, strong, honest, loyal and wholeheartedly luscious every inch a Highlander. I loved the Fae and Celtic folklore interspersed within along with the depictions of the region, the castles, the clothing, and more. The romance positively sizzled while the plot boiled. Add in a faux marriage and dungeons and the fiery, determined lass and this book was utterly bewitching.

What did you like best about this story?

Listening to the Highland brogue as opposed to reading it for the first time was a delightful treat and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves reads featuring Highlanders. It will add a whole new delectable dimension to your repertoire hearing the Celtic lilt vocalized. Warning! You may find yourself picking up some of the dialect afterwards. I personally like saying arse now instead of ass. :-) The narrator did an excellent job and this has been one of my very favorite audio reads. I didn't want it to ever end.

Have you listened to any of Borah Coburn’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I haven't so I can't compare.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved every single moment listening to this book!

Any additional comments?

With this story, I found new ways to listen to audio books. Before, I was only listening while running/walking a local intercoastal waterway. I couldn't stand, though, to only listen every other day to this book so I started listening while driving and found that even short commutes became pleasurable! Then... I found I could enjoy it while gardening and cooking and showering. So... this book helped to open my eyes to new ways to listen to books!

Terry Spear's books are all must-reads for me. Every one of her books have been wonderful and this one is a another winner!
