The girl afraid of taking chances. The guy always looking for his next thrill. Staying on the ground or soaring through the air... Falling in love is the biggest risk of all.
Jake Chapman loses himself in extreme sports to fill the emptiness in his life. But when he meets CPA Claire Callahan at Cypress Corners, he wants to spend his visit proving to her that living in the moment is worth the risk.
Claire cares for her ailing father, a compulsive gambler who repeatedly risked all they had in the quest for a new high. When she falls for Jake, beloved uncle to her close friends' little boy, she throws her own caution to the wind for once in her life. But his risk-taking soon shows her he's as addicted to the rush as her father is, and she won't put her heart in danger.
Can Jake be the man Claire needs to keep her heart safe? Or will his thirst for adventure keep him from taking the biggest risk of all?

I am open to reviewing quality products.
Book two in the series picks up a few years after the first book. It is all about middle child Jake and his free flying lifestyle. Pair him up with meticulous Claire, who seems a touch OCD, and it is a dynamic opposites attract!
I loved Claire, she has a terrific back story and some fun surprises. I loved the dynamic with Jake, such fun banter. He does a great job of bringing her playful side to the forefront.
This is a mixed narrative, so you get both leads POV. This really helps you understand where they are coming from and the romance is fuller.
There is a bit of smexy here, a nice touch of detail but not nearly as hawt as an erotic read. Still, open bedroom door that heats things up considerably.
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Wendy Rich Stetson, who is delightful. I enjoyed her pace and the energy she infuses into the read. She has a wonderful feel for the romance and characters. It is a great match and I hope to see her in the next book as well.
I loved the supporting cast here, another appearance from brash Lettie is a laugh riot. I was also surprised to find I want to get a romance for man eater Tracy, I hope that is her name gonna have to check it.

*** I hope this review was useful to you and helped your decision to read or not read this book. I love reading and sharing my opinions with other readers. I listen at double speed; all my impressions of the narration are from that setting. Thanks for taking the time to read my review!
I loved the first book in this series, and HAD to go back for more. And, I'm definitely going back in for book 3. The characters are very likeable, down to earth, and real. And I love that they really think about their actions when getting into their relationship. Not everyone is so free and willing to have an intimate fling. And, while I can enjoy that story just as much, I do also relate to people who don't just feel comfortable jumping into a fling relationship that has no future, or doesn't appear to. These characters have more depth and are trying to make more rational and responsible decisions that many people try make. We are not all ruled by our hormones. Still, this story doesn't lack for steam or anticipation. It's just another fun and interesting visit to Cypress Corners. I'll be visiting again soon.
As usual, Wendy Rich Stetson did a FANTASTIC job. She just has a way of making the characters come to life and is so easy to listen to. They are full of feeling, and dare I say, character. It's an enjoyable ride I'm looking forward to taking again soon!
I am a working woman in a man's world but it's ok because I really love being around men !! I've been happily married for 48 years!
I really enjoyed this story of the young lady who was working hard to take care of her dad and saving her money for the future. She is a good example of many of today's younger generation who lives a good life but who also has a secret life she keeps well hidden.
I have listened to many books by Bella Andre and have enjoyed the stories of the Sullivan family and their escapades. This book is similar to those in regards to the steamy love scenes and exciting tension between the main couple.
Wendy put just the right reflections in her voice at just the right time and really made me feel like a part of the story. I so enjoyed listening to her.
I didn't have an extreme reaction because it was fairly predictable but I did enjoy the overall story and relationship of the characters.
I look forward to ready more of this author's books soon.
The expressive narration lends a depth to the story I would not likely get from reading alone. This series is always a really fun listen :)
Claire because she has so much heart! Eventually she gives second chances and she is not afraid to own up to her feelings ever if directly asked about them :)
I listened to the previous book in this series. She just keeps getting better as she knows the characters better :) I expect the next one will be even better :)
I thought the epilogue was perfect! It made me see how happy they were together and that it was a true HEA :)
This series must be listened to (or read) in order. The first book is Finding Harmony. This is the second book. I can't wait to listen to Loving Cassie!
Claire has pretty much spent her whole life worrying and planning because of her father's gambling addiction. She lives a very spartan life always scrimping and saving so that she can support both her father and herself. Rarely does she treat herself to even the smallest of luxuries. It just isn't in her budget. She is an excellent accountant because of her dilligence to the bottom line... After all, she has always had to do alot with a little. Meeting Jake throws her for a loop. She is so attracted to him... But he is dangerous. The kind of man to never settle down. Can she afford to take a chance on him? Will he be worth her while? Or will he just disappoint her the way her father always has? Can she trust him with her heart?
Jake never ever has relationships. Not even then friends with benefits kind. He has never even had a female friend! Claire intrigues him and he can't seem to stay away. He tries to be friends with her though deep down he knows he wants more. Will he be able to get her to let down her guard? Is he ready to take the ultimate chance and have a real relationship? Can he convince her he is worthy of her?
***This chicklit romance series is suitable for adult readers who enjoy hopeful stories with plenty of steam and a dash of ecofriendly morals to go with the requisite HEA :)
This is a great book; this is the second book in The Cypress Corners series written by JoMarie DeGioia and narrated by Wendy Rich Stetson. Jake Chapman loses himself in extreme sports to fill the emptiness in his life. Claire Callahan is the CPA at Cypress Corners and cares for her ailing father who risked all they had on gambling. When Jake and Claire meet they can’t deny the attraction they feel for each other.
The narrator Wendy Rich Stetson, did a wonderful job, and was very easy to listen too. She did a great job with the different characters and their voices.
This book has a great story; if you are looking for a great romance, then you need to get this book. I am looking forward to the next book by this author. Once I started listening to this book, I didn’t want to stop until the end.
A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
My name is Anna and I am from Greece. I am mostly a super crazy Editor, a completely crazy mum of two and of course I LOVE AUDIOBOOKS!!!
Although it is a very good book I wouldn't listen to it again, went straight to the next one in the series!
Jake Chapman of course, hot sexy and all man! A player and a bad boy who falls in love with the sassy redhead and doesn't know how to deal with her!
Wendy Rich Stetson is awesome, I love her performances and her southern accent. All the books she narrates are amazing!
Yes, and I did.

Thank you very much Wendy Rich Stetson and JoMarie DeGioia for this book.
I'm an avid audiobook listener. I love romance novels, occasion fiction, and rarely sci-Fi.
I enjoyed this second book the best in the Cypress Corners series. A great feel good book with romance but not super graphic sex scenes. Worth a credit.
It is a toss up between Jake and Claire. Each comes into the story with their own problems. Claire is very rigid and by the book. She has a definite order and way of doing things. Jake shows up, carefree and living life day by day by day.
This is the second book by Ms. Stetson I have listened to. (The other was book 1 in this series). Her ability to give each character their own voice and to continue the flow from the previous book is great.
At over 6 hours it would be a little difficult for me to do this in one sitting but I was able to listen to it in about 2 days. I would suggest this as a weekend listen. You will want to go back and listen to this one again!
Taming Jake continues the Cypress Corners story. Jake, younger brother of Rick from Finding Harmony, comes to Cypress Corners to get out of the Boston office run by his father. Once in Cypress Corners Jake meets Claire. Claire is the CPA in the sales center and very set in her ways. Can the wild at heart free spirit Jake win over Claire? You will have to listen to find out!
I would recommend this book to those who love a good and sexy romance. The love scenes are passionate but tasteful.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
Sweet, Longing, Business
I’m definitely listening to the next book in this series I’d love to see these characters again.
I would have added a little me suspense into the book. Something to keep you guessing, it was just a sweet romance.
I felt that it was very predictable.
All of them, i felt the narrator did a great job!!
This is a good book, if your looking for a very easy simple read this is for you!
