A social experiment (a scary but exciting concept): marry a total stranger, live together for six months, and journal everything.
Feelings. Fights. All of it.
After six months, we each get $50,000 in exchange for our journals, whether we stay married or not. But the goal is to commit to the experience and see if the relationship experts could put together the perfect matches.
I have never been lucky in love. This was my chance to find my soulmate. I couldn't wait to meet the man the experts felt was perfect for me. My hopes were immediately dashed when I saw him at the altar. I married my worst nightmare. Right?

I absolutely LOVE this series!!! I l
just can't get enough of these guys!!! During this book my heart broke so many times I didn't think it would ever recover!!! I loved Talon and Asia!!! I don't want to spoil it for anyone so I will just tell you this is a love story that will break your heart, make you scream and holler, laugh and swoon!!! The romance was off the charts!!! the narrators were AWESOME!!! You can't go wrong with this book/listen. I WANT MORE!!!!
I am 46 & love audible books. I think the quality of TV is crap so I use my listen daily.
Could not put this one down . It was one of the best books I have ever heard
Talon is a standalone story in the Ashes & Embers series.
"Then don't be a star, Talon. Be the moon. Shine above all of them."
I listened to the audiobook of Talon for a re-read. I already loved the book, but the story really took on a new life, a whole other dimension through some amazing narration.
Talon is a member of the rock band Ashes & Embers. He is beginning to feel like his life is too shallow and he longs to find his soulmate.
Asia has been unlucky in relationships and has begun to feel like maybe she just isn't enough.
They both sign up for a social experiment that attempts to make the perfect match. Marry a stranger that is chosen for you and stay together for 6 months.
"Marrying you doesn't change who I am."
"No, but it changes who we are together," I grab her hand to stop her fingers from nervously circling on her leg. "Together, we're supposed to be better."
This story is beautiful, both heart wrenching and life affirming as it deals with some tough issues. The book is sexy with a swoon worthy rock star Hero and an amazing sweet heroine. It is an emotional story that brought me to tears, but also made me laugh.
"I love you too, jelly bean. With every one of my f'n' heartbeats."
Carian Cole has fast become a favorite one-click author and Sean Crisden & Elizabeth Hart are now among my favorite narrators!
I am an avid reader, not a professional book reviewer. I gladly offer my opinion of the books I read/listen to.
I read the series and am now making my way through the audible performances. I really enjoyed this unusual aspect of this story. The H/h marry without knowing each other. Their relationship takes a journey that is sometimes humorous, angst ridden and ultimately has you cheering for their happily ever after. Talon is a flawed, but caring husband Asia (I spelled it wrong I know) is dying to be loved but has trust issues. Their journey to love is a fun listen and I think most people would enjoy this light hearted banter!
I absolutely love a good book. and working in an office, I am able to listen to several books a month while I work.
This was a very good listen. Narration was great. The storyline was somewhat different. Great dialogue. Humor, depth, tenderness, sadness. Just the right amount of sex scenes and not overdone.
They have all been great stories, but I liked this one best. Love me some Valentine rockers!
I don't know why I started this series with book 4, except that the story line caught my attention more then the others. I may go back and get the first two. I have Vandal also but that one is a little dark and i can only do small doses of that one at a time. That being said, wow I loved Talon and Asia. Would an idea like that really work? Interesting concept. I need to go backwards now and find out if info on Asher is in a previous book or his story is yet to come. Also Mica, wow really don't like him, hope there is a good reason he is who he is.
