Great story, terrible narration!

I’ve owned this book for years and have been meaning to read it since forever. The story is good and definitely did not disappoint. Both main characters are just precious, especially Logan. By the end, I was totally in love with the Reed family! I’m definitely reading the rest of the books!

As far as the audiobook goes, the narration was terrible! I much prefer dual or duet narration when there’s male and female POVs but I could deal with a female doing both if it’s a good narrator. This female narrator was just bad, she sounded the same ( like a 12 year old little girl) on both POVs and was just bad.

So, I recommend the book 100% but skip the audiobook for sure!

Narrators voice was childish

Would you try another book from Tammy Falkner and/or Dara Rosenberg?

tammy Faulkner yes, Narrator NO

Would you be willing to try another book from Tammy Falkner? Why or why not?

yes, I liked the story

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The voice was very child like and when she changed from male to famale, it was aweful. I won't listen to another book narrated by her

Could you see Tall, Tatted and Tempting being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Maybe

Very sweet romance between Kat and Logan

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this one.
It features a wanderer Kat who was homeless and very distrustful. When she makes the acquaintance of the Logan and the tattoo shop he owned with his siblings, she is transformed. But can she trust them enough to share what/whom she's running from?

The narrator did a great job capturing the tone and personalities of the characters. I will certainly check out the next book in this series.

Love this book

What did you love best about Tall, Tatted and Tempting?

I love Logan's vulnerability and the 5 brothers sticking together as a tight family.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Logan cause he is so darn sexy and I have a soft spot for Matt.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Her voice is too young and she pronounces her "g's" too hard ...sing-ging, younguh. etc. This annoyed me and was distracting to me.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! I got excited to drive to and from work every day just to hear the story.

Any additional comments?

I bought this book and read it twice, when I saw it available on audible I grabbed it right away. One of my favorites!

Heartfelt

The ONLY thing I didn't like was that this book ended on a cliffhanger. Can't wait to read the next book!

I love the Reed brothers! There are sweet moments and some heartbreaking moments in this book. I have to say that I wish more was mentioned on Emily's past.

As for narration it did not work for me. For one thing the book is dual POV and needed a Male narrator. The female narrator made the guys sound like immature 10 year olds at times. She just can't carry a dual narration on her own. I also wish Logans voice was different considering he stopped speaking because his voice sounded different. Unfortunately I see the same narrator is used for the next few books so I won't be continuing the audiobooks. I only finished this one since it was on AE.

Narration doesn't Help

This is a good book, but the narrator really got on my nerves. She read the male parts as if they were whiny little 5 yo boys.

Loved the story

Would you listen to Tall, Tatted and Tempting again? Why?

I would probably reread Tall, Tatted and Tempting since the narration was awful

What was one of the most memorable moments of Tall, Tatted and Tempting?

When Kit did the unselfish thing. I do not want to give away away any spoilers, but that scene brought tears to my eyes.
I also loved the scene when Logan read to Kit. There were so many.

Would you be willing to try another one of Dara Rosenberg’s performances?

I will try to avoid any narration by Dara Rosenberg. I am not trying to be hurtful, but honest. The narration was awful. Dara Rosenberg's voice sounded cartoonish. Almost like she could be a voice on the Simpsons or Spongebob. She was an awful choice for a book that had dual POVs - Logan and Kit's. I often got confused which POV she was reading. I would have to go back and think which voice/character she was reading. There was no change. I am not sure if authors or publishers choose the narrator, but they need to test the narrator with different voice-tones. I have been listening to audiobooks since they were on cassette tapes in the 90s and I have to say this narrator's voice has to be one of the worst.
There are so many other (newer) narrators that could have done the voice...Applelusa McGlynn, Elizabeth Louise, Erin Mallon just to name a few off the top of my head.
So disappointed that the next book in the series is in Dara Rosenberg's voice. I may just have to read it, not listen to it.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I loved the premise...deaf boy falls in love with homeless girl. It was a beautiful story. I even loved the brothers. I had tears in the last 10% of the book.
