And then there was Bastien. Just looking into his eyes, Terri had to admit she was falling for him - someone even taller, darker, and hungrier than the other two. She was feeling a mite puckish herself. And if she stayed with him, those blood-sucking hotel owners wouldn't get her!

“A book is the only place in which you can examine a fragile thought without breaking it, or explore an explosive idea without fear it will go off in your face. It is one of the few havens remaining where an individual's mind can get both provocation and privacy.”
Loved the story, adored the characters and loved the narrator .... going to purchase the whole series and just indulge myself!
Even though the book is as humorous as the previous books, somehow it did not grab me as much with the audiobook reread. I kept on loosing my thoughts while listening and could not get into the world. It's probably because the main characters lack the quirkiness and the snark the previous book's characters had. It is still a fun book just not my favorite in the series. I think I am going to skip some books and look for the audiobook version of the book about a woman vampire who is accepted by the town and one of the enforcers is sent to deal with her. I vaguely remember that one being fun.
As a second book in the series this one was much more fast paced and funny. The narrator was so much better than that in the first book. The story was very good and fun to listen to.
I know the main character in this is a guy but I wasn't used to the narrator being a guy, so it was hard to get used to. Additionally, it's more of just a romance and the action is very little as opposed to some of the books in these series(they have more of a climax and action). So it's not fabulous, but not horrible either, it's just "okay".
This was one of the funniest books I listeded to in a while. The narrator was perfect for this book.
This has been such a drag to get through I am writing this before I have even finished! The narrator is just okay, I endured him through Single, White Vampire but at least the story was worth it, but not the case here. This story so far (and I'm already mostly done with part 1) has been trivial at best, and downright lame! Such a disappointment. Bastien was such a great character in the other books. I had so been looking forward to his story. But so far Terri is dull, and the sex appeal is about nil. So bummed out. I would not recommend wasting money on this!
Again, why do let men narrators try to do women character with english accents. Would have been a good book but very painful to listen to.
There was plenty of humor and great secondary characters to liven things up, which was a good thing. Without them, this story would've fallen flat. I was disappointed in the lack of intrigue - I saw a glimmer of possibility when the taste-testing went awry, but it never happened. Still, a fun romance for romance's sake.
I know some reviewers don't care for the male performer, but I found his pace and voice acceptable.
A reader of PNR, mysteries and suspense. But huge reader of PNR. I listen and read books.
the series is very good and I like reading about all the characters. However, the narrator made this a bad book his idea of a woman's voice is awful and kept pulling me out of the story.
