Publisher's summary

Molly Jennings has one naughty little secret: her job as a best-selling erotic fiction author. Until her inspiration runs dry - thanks to a creepy ex - and it's time to skip town and move back to tiny Tumble Creek, Colorado.

One look at former high-school hunk and chief of police Ben Lawson and Molly is back in business. The town gossip is buzzing at her door and, worse still, a stalker seems to be watching her every move.

Thankfully, her very own lawman has taken to coming over, often. The only problem now is that Molly may have to let the cat out of the bag about her chosen profession - and straitlaced Ben will definitely not approve.

Pretty Painful

I like a sexy little romance as well as the next person. I was prepared for the "plot" to provide only a thinly desguised excuse for lots of hot sex. I was not prepared for the main characters to be so completely hollow and like cardboard cutouts. I can give the author credit for pretty good sex scenes, though even there the dialogue was pretty trite. But Molly, oh my, Molly was nothing but a characature. The reader didn't help at all with her school girl voice. I have to say this was the worst book I've downloaded to date from Audible. Guess you gotta get a "dog" once in a while. I give myself an A for wading all the way through instead of quitting. I'm not trying to be brutal. I'm just stating my honest views.

Talk Me Down Review

An ultra light romantic suspense story. Molly and Ben were likeable enough. Their relationship developed quickly, a little too quickly for me. And although, their encounters were playful and teasing, Molly's refusal to tell Ben what she did for a living didn't add enough believable conflict to keep this story interesting. After a while, it was just annoying. Also, the suspense angle was not very suspenseful in the end. There was some light humor and some hot love scenes, but not much else.

I couldn’t even get through the first chapter

I couldn’t even get through the first chapter because the performance was so awful. I didn’t tank the story because I couldn’t listen long enough to see if it was a decent story. Sorry Wanda- I felt like I was listening you read was like listening to some high school girl reading the book. Maybe that was supposed to be the audience.

Heroine is annoying

I always hope for a strong heroine but this isn’t it. I was not able to finish the book but got more than 2/3 through. The lying and ridiculousness of a woman who won’t take the proper measures to protect herself and make good choices is annoying and insulting. Over it.

It's ok

The story sounded as though it could be fun, but the narrator sounds like a student teacher talking to an 11th grade sex-ed class, and so is proving barely tolerable. I'd like to hear it with Anna Fields or some other adult doing the narration; but meanwhile, I wish I'd passed on this one and bought something entertaining (Natural Born Charmer springs to mind).

narration makes book hard to get into

I agree with other reviews, the narrator sounded like she was reading a script, and wasn't getting into character, so to speak. I'll keep trying because I hate wasting money.

Ah, if only Barbara Rosenblat could narrate EVERYTHING!! :0)
