I am Tammy Payne. I am an avid book reader and I also have a book blog :)
Athena is a woman who although she hasn't lost her virtue as of yet is very strong and determined.
Athena. She is a take charge no holding back kind of woman.
Quinn I would say. Although Sophie Eastlake does an excellent job with all the characters.
Loved it and yes !!
Say something about yourself!
I liked everything about this book except I thought his reason for leaving her at first was weak. It would have been better if the author made a stronger reasoning behind it.
This is an awesome series; this is the eleventh book in the Red Stone Security Series written by Katie Reus and narrated by Sophie Eastlake. This book can be read as a standalone but once you read this one you will want to go back and read the rest of the books. Quinn and Athena dated a few months ago but when he found out she was a virgin he broke up with her because he felt that walking away from her would be the best thing. Now Athena is working at Red Stone Security in the marketing department, and he can’t deny the attraction between each other. When a man Quinn put in prison, comes after Athena to make Quinn pay, he must protect her at all costs.
The narrator Sophie Eastlake did a great job with this book, and was very easy to listen to. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to in one sitting and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end.
If you are looking for a great book with great characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.
A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
Katie Reus never disappoint!:)The story is full of suspense and romance!Sophie is a great narrator and her male voices are yummy!
Quinn Brody is an honorable man. He will protect all women especially one he loves. I fell for him. He's a strong powerful Alpha, but when he's faced with love and commitment he doesn't know how to deal with it. Athena is a challenge and his equal. This feisty woman can stand on her own two feet. I loved the sparks that flew whenever they were together. Their interaction and chemistry made for a compelling romance. This book is fast-paced and filled with danger. I loved the setting and the sharp, humorous dialogue. It was nice to catch up with other members of Red Stone. I liked these characters from previous stories. I enjoy Katie Reus. She's an excellent author who combines danger and passion in a story that pulls you right in. When you add the talents of narrator Sophie Eastlake, you have an unbeatable combination. I love listening to The Red Stone Security series.
This book really kept my attention throughout. Katie Reus is a new author for me, but I was impressed with the depth of the storyline and loved the characters. I will definitely be looking for more books in this series and by this author.
WOW! This is about the 13th book I’ve read of Ms. Reus’s and she’s never written about a virgin before. What made Athena such a good virgin was her ability to make jokes about it and how badly she wanted to get rid of “it.” Of course, she does just that with Quinn’s help. Their love-making was quite yummy, while leading up to the ‘main-event.’
As for the bad guy? He was, without a doubt, a craziest loon I’ve ever read about. His thought process was just insane. Always thinking his wife was cheating on him every time another man looked at her so she had to be punished? Ms. Reus made it very easy to hate him. As I read I couldn’t wait for him to be caught or killed. And, of course, I figured he’d get his hands on Athena, since the bad guy wanted Quinn to see her die. Yeah, like that was going to happen.
Overall, I’ve really enjoyed these books about Red Stone Security but I just can’t read book 4. It’s Travis’s book and I just can’t picture a book-hero, a grown man that’s a big bad-ass, with a Mohawk. He’s mentioned in this book and talks about his wife and child while still sporting his (IMO) horrible haircut. That haircut’s for a 15 or 16 year old kid, not a grown man.
This book was as good as the last one I read, Mina and Blue’s story, Sinful Seduction, but they were all pretty good. I did jump around and didn’t read them in order but I was never lost so you don’t have to read then in order.
As usual, this does have explicit sex and swearing. The F-BOMB was used 39 times so don’t say you haven’t been warned.
As to the narration: As usual Ms. Eastlake did a marvelous job. I never get tired of listening to her. The men sound just like men.
