No, unless they want erotica and do not feel a need to connect to the character(s).

What could Maya Banks have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

More character developement, more character interaction that was not sex. I do not mind some sex, this goes way beyond the amount in a Nora Robert book, chapter afteer chapter at times. And reader should be well warned, much alternative sex, sex house, and 3 some. Less romance, much more erotica.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Definately not, would seem voyerism.

If you want sex with less emotional connection this book will meet your desires.

Not my cup of tea

This was a little over the top for me and not too believable. The sex scenes were hot between Gray and Faith but I could have done without the sex club.

What made the experience of listening to Sweet Surrender the most enjoyable?

I really enjoyed the story and the characters. The sex scenes were good, but there could have been more of them !

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sweet Surrender?

I couldn't wait to see if Gray and Faith worked it out!

It was not a total replacement for FSOG, but acceptable.

Has a few cheesy moments but, an enjoyable listen

The story started out like a police drama. Then it turned into a romance with unrequited attraction, then denial and finally lust to love, in a matter of a few hours. Unfortunately, as usual, one member of the couple wasn’t being completely honest, and the shit hit the fan. Finally, the Heroine lets the Hero speak his piece and all the pieces come back together. It annoys me when this type of angst is used, in the plot. Being honest should be the easiest part of a relationship but, most romance authors disagree with me. So, now that you know what to expect , you can listen to this book with the knowledge that, eventually, all will be well. There is some light bondage, domestic discipline, M/M and M/F/M sex and a tour of a sex club. There is also a few Dominant/ submissive interactions. Therefore, if this sort of thing bothers you, choose a different book to listen to.

Maya Banks is hit or miss with me. Her KGI series is so good but the smut isn’t the main plot device. Maybe that’s why that series is good. This book while may have a decent plot the relationship is based on a lie from the first second. And the attitude toward kink bugs me.

The author uses the Hero as a mouthpiece for why M/s is cliche and annoying to him, YET his type of kink is a la weekend warrior passing himself off as a seasoned kinkster. Denying orgasm, using a crop, and backdoor sex doesn’t make you an authority on BDSM. It just means you like to play while having sex. Why is it so hard for authors to grasp the concept that BDSM isn’t just about sex?

I KNOW WHY, it’s just a plot device. It’s offensive.

The biggest turn off for me was how the smut was written. I don’t need to know every detail and movement of the act. This isn’t a “how to have sex” book, it’s supposed to erotica.

Narration was spot on. The story flowed fast and kept an interstate through out. Enough hotness to keep interesting. Already loaded next in series.

exceptional storyline and storytelling.

Maya Banks always delivers! Exceptional storytelling that makes you wanting for more. I've read this series before but this is my first time with audible. It doesn't disappoint!

Very Good

I loved this book The hero, Gray, is a Dallas cop whose partner has been killed in the line of duty. The police are getting nowhere trying to find the perpetrator. Gray gets a lead that the perp may some way be connected to a woman in Houston. Gray takes a leave of absence and finagles a job with the family P.I. company where the woman works. He's stunned by her beauty and innocence when he meets her--she couldn't possibly be connected to his partner's murderer, could she? The heroine, Faith, is very happy in her professional life. She has a job she loves working for her adoptive father's P.I. firm. But her personal life is just...okay. She longs for a strong, take charge kind of man. She'd like to be dominated, and taken care of by her man. But how is she going to find 'the one'? She hasn't had much luck with men...until Gray walks into her life. Could he be what she's looking for? The story flowed smoothly and I really liked the characters. The heroine had a brother and a few friends that I could also see as having their own stories told (I hope)! And the hero was hot, hot, hot, yet also sensitive and caring (loved that!)

Sweet old Faith... NOT!... naughty girl!

A cute little story about Gray and Faith. It is unique in the sense that Faith is desperately trying to figure out what she wants and she's rather confused about it. I liked the way Faith's character was strong and she eagerly sought out what she wanted. This book is a great intro to BDSM and contains many hot hot hot scenes.

Ok, Gray is a cop. We all know that. Can we have a scene where he draws his gun?? Preferably shirtless?? Is that too much to ask for?

There are not that many female narrators that I am fond of. Simply because it's hard for them to do a very masculine voice. I take that back. Caroline Wintour does an outstanding job with all the characters in this book considering most of the characters in this book are men. I was truly impressed and she took this book to a new level with all the characters.

Highly recommended book. Enjoy!

I’ve read the books and I guess the voices that I had in my head don’t match the readers lol. However, I liked it. I loved how the voice actor did try at least. It still good.
