I'm in LOVE with the Sweet Series!

After starting with book 4 Sweet Temptation first since that was all that was available - I was excited to see book 1 in audio! I wanted background on the characters I feel in love with! I wanted to know if they were all as kinky and crazy!

I was so happy that that Sweet Surrender didn't disappoint. I love that Faith decides to go out there and find out what she wants… and boy does she! Great start to the series!

I have to give credit to the narrator, Caroline Wintour. She does a wonderful job. I know exactly who is "talking" when listening to her!

Discorvery

This was a good story about someone discovering their true sexual needs. Knowing you are not satisfied but not sure about how to go about getting their needs met and the challenges involved. Discovering how far is far enough and being comfortable with how you are. The author did a great job while mixing up just enough dysfunctional family crap to be interesting. Sometimes family members can bring to much toxic waste to your doorstep one to many times.

stilted dialogue

The basics storyline was fine but the dialogue felt awkward and that took away from the sex scenes. I didn't bother finishing the book.

Spicy hot!

BEWARE: Maya Banks books are HOT! If you are not into Erotica then this book is not for you. If you enjoy your books with spicy sex scenes and weak subplots then this is the perfect series!! Don't say I didn't warn you about this one.....it's a scorcher!
I enjoy these books because they are wildly entertaining. If I was looking for a literary classic I would go elsewhere.
My only complaint is the narrator. Caroline Wintour = Coleen Marlo. I felt duped since she is not one of my favorites. She's not bad, just not my favorite.

Otherwise this one is HOT, HOT, HOT and such a guilty pleasure.

I should have read this first!

WoW! I did not expect this. I did not read this series in order. I started with Faith's brother Conner's book, Sweet Possession, and I realized from that book, each character and relationship was very unique, so I went back to get more background information.

Faith was a great character, but Gray! OMG! I loved how he was so dominate, but wasn't. He knew exactly what he wanted, but was so tempted by Faith that he was willing to lose his composure at times. Loved that. I liked his idea of B & M. He don't use safeword, because he thought is was crap.. Love that! Also, when Gray helped Faith realize that she was trying to control everything was an eye opener form himself, Faith, and the reader.

Even though I did not read this series in order, I love how I could still follow along with each book. If I would have read this book first, I would have went straight to Micha story next.

I loved how Faith was so innocent but so sneaky and devilish at times. Nice girls are alway the ones who have sneak in them. Like I said, I didn't read this series in order, so throught the other books, to hear how Faith was so not innocent from the other women, was a contradition to her innocent appearance and then to hear/read her story was really great!

One of my favorite series.

Maya Banks keeps you engaged while telling a very erotic story.

Sweet and Sexy!

This book is HOT! Gray is every woman's dream. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and have moved on to the next one in the series.

Great romantic suspense story

Wow, this novel is a slow-burn to super-hot erotic. It’s for the patient reader who enjoys the build up of an actual story - in this case a covert criminal investigation; plus the foundations for romance and sex between the protagonists sparked by attraction, chemistry, sexual tension, before the physical relationship commences. But when it starts, it explodes! Wow, I was not expecting that. I thought, oh yeah, they’ll throw in some BDSM. Um, it was not what I expected. It was better in parts, shocking in others. The hero, Gray, has firm opinions about BDSM clubs – he prefers his own brand of kink and my. jaw. just. fell. So be warned: this is HOT - the sex elements surprised me. I’m still new to reading stories with BDSM and so I can be surprised. That happened here. Seasoned BDSM readers may think it’s standard BDSM fare, however. Ultimately, it was the STORY and the tender love that got to my heart and wowed me into a 5 star rating.

The narrator, Caroline Wintour, performs all the voices and she is fantastic. I particularly like her sweet voice for the heroine Faith, and the gravelly erotic voice for Gray. Quite well done - she had me squirming in my seat. Wowza. I recommend this if you have an open mind about what people do in private.

Couldn’t give the book what it deserves!

The narrator was to sickly sweet that she sounded so fake I couldn’t do any more of the writer’s books. The story line hot,sexual and overall good murder. Just couldn’t do the narrator!!!
