Publisher's summary

At 25, Princess Adrianne lives a life most people would envy. Beautiful and elegant, she spends her days dabbling in charities and her nights floating from one glamorous gala to the next. But her pampered-rich-girl pose is a ruse, a carefully calculated effort to hide a dangerous truth.

For 10 years Adrianne has lived for revenge. As a child, she could only watch the cruelty hidden behind the facade of her parents' fairy-tale marriage. Now she has the perfect plan to make her famous father pay. She will take possession of the one thing he values above all others - The Sun and the Moon, a fabled necklace beyond price.

Yet just as she is poised to take her vengeance, she meets a man who seems to divine her every secret. Clever, charming, and enigmatic, Philip Chamberlain has his own private reasons for getting close to Princess Adrianne. And only when it's too late will she see the hidden danger…as she finds herself up against two formidable men - one with the knowledge to take her freedom, the other with the power to take her life.

Unhappy with the reader.

What did you like best about Sweet Revenge? What did you like least?

I love Nora Roberts. Her stories are Romantic and interesting. Her women are strong and intelligent. But with sweet Revenge the reader made all the women either lisp or sound like a whiny drag queen. And the usually rugged men sound as if they are all trying to be Errol Flinn.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sweet Revenge?

I have a hard time picking just one. But the last confrontation with the King is my favorite.

How could the performance have been better?

Having a reader with a better understanding of the Author.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

A better reader

Any additional comments?

I hope that Sweet Revenge is not a " first book" for someone trying out a new author. It would seriously hurt the reputation of Nora Roberts if it is.

Very good story. Very distracting reading

It may have been my own inability to get into the story due to the British accent of the reader. Or it may have been the semi-whispering of the reading. I just couldn't get through the first 4 chapters. It had been a struggle just to get through the third chapter.
I have listened to many of Nora Roberts' noverls. This is the first one that I struggled with.

Excellent, one of my all-time favorites!

I loved the storyline for this book! Narrator was difficult to understand at times, but it could have been the accent.

Loved the story. Narration was terrible!

Loved the story. Narration was terrible! The British accent sounded fake. And he made Philip sound completely boring.

had to change reveiw

At first I thought Napoleon Ryan was difficult to listen to. I was wrong. He was amazing and did the story justice. He captured the characters and made them cone alive. This story was a different take but I loved it.
