Meh

This book was really nothing special to me... It didn't have fabulous writing although it could have been made better with a different narrator. No depth and the sex was mediocre, no real passion, I wasn't impressed all around. The story doesn't really go into depth and it's too similar to so many other books on the market. I didn't fast forward so that I could really give it a chance but I say skip it and go with something else.

Can't get past the narration

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Apparently, many folks don't feel the same way I do about the narration due to the reviews. So, I guess if you sample the book and the narration doesn't bother you, you may like it. I I I Just couldn't listen. The squeaky narration just does not go with the content. Not the voice for romantic or sexy.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Wished I could find a good story with a good story and narration. They seem to be far and few between.

Ugh! I just couldn't listen.

Disappointment. Narration not right for the content.

This is my first book by J.C. Reed. I won't be listening to anymore if they are by the same narrator.

None, i thought the store was good, but just couldn't get by the Narrator.

If its a different narrator, i will give this author another try.

Boring

I hate to start a book and not finish it. I felt like this was a day wasted listening. Didn't like the reader. Never felt any chemestry between the characters. Figured out the twist about half way through and only finished this to see if I was correct. Will not listen to the rest Not wasting any more time So much head space for the main character that I almost gave up more than once. but again I hate not finishing a book I start. Skip this one not worth the constant winy angst

Narrator Truly Inappropriate for Book

Would you try another book from J. C. Reed and/or Romy Nordlinger?

I have listened to hundreds of audio books, and while the narrator can really turn a good book to great for me, I have always been able to get past a less than ideal narrator - even if I felt the voice was not quite right. In this instance, I could not finish the book. The "pack a day"/grandma voice (my apologies to the narrator but that is truly what it sounds like) was so distracting to the story that I could not continue. I usually listen to the book sample for a couple of minutes, but I did not in this case. Big mistake. I Strongly recommend that you listen to the sample before buying this book. I can't imagine the author ever envisioned the book with this voice.

Only for a very specific type of character - heavy smoker/much older woman
