Book one of the series had just enough character development that I bought this because I was actually interested in seeing what would unfold. Despite the fact that this is just another series with a kinky millionaire who must have his way, I was entertained.
Now, I am approximately 1/4 of the eye rolling way thru this book and I have had all the "thrusting manhood", "Shattering Core", and "Pulsing womanhood" I can stand.
This is one average length novel, chopped into three teeth clenchingly bad novella's to collect 3 credits.
The narrator is better in Submit, but her tone is so low that you really have to focus on listening because any other noise in the house or car seems to drown her out.....thankfully I won't have to worry about that because I have had all the "lengthy shaft" I can stomach.
Sexy, hot, tense, super romantic, loving, family, controlling to say the least. Sub...MIT... If you say no more it would have best described the book. .. I must say it leaves you wanting more,......
Say something about yourself!
In my heart of hearts I want to say I threw this book down in disgust that the leading man Rafe would treat Ari like that...but it was like watching a train wreck, I couldn't look away.
This book has flaws...people seem to do things out of character to continue the plot (which I truly dislike!), people are upset when I can't understand why, and fine when I am screaming at my iphone that I can't believe that just happened! Time lines are messed up, one minute they are taking a vacation after 1 month...then she gets home from a 4 day trip and her 3 months are up...I was confused. I did like the secondary action of the side characters coming into their own stories. All I can say is YAY Ari for the end of the book....and boo rafe! But then I had to get book 3 to see where the heck all this was going!
Overall I just don't know about this book...I think the third will make or break my love of the series. The narrator changed....but I can't say it's for the better! The guys no longer sound like trolls...they now all sound the same and all sound like the girls, barely any distinction. Follow that up with the worst editing hack job of an audiobook I have EVER heard and you have a miserable listen. The chick was speed reading and if you tried to slow it down it echoed...and I'm originally from NJ fast talking doesn't bother me, but fast talking a love scene was just creepy! Then there seemed to be no breaks between paragraphs, or sentences and the whole timing was just so incredibly off. I will have to say though I already started book 3 and I am happy to report that they FINALLY got the narration and editing correct.
I'll keep you posted!
I would recommend the book, not the audio, the narrator sounds as if she is not interested and come off a bored!
No to listen too...boring narrator
did not bring life to story
get a new narrator
My only issue was the editing. In the audio, several times a sentence would be cut-off before the end. It would feel like a stumble if your were walking. It could have been caused by my download. I don't know, but for me, that disturbed the flow of the story. I still thought the book was great.
Didn't care much for the narrator, she's just too wishy-washy. It just sounded like it was, I don't know ,I can't even explain I just didn't really care for the narrator of this Book. I like her in other stuff but I just didn't care for her in this one
Gripping psychodrama romance. Better than Fifty Shades. I can't wait for Book 3! The sex scenes are fun, but it's the psychological insights that are really exciting and stimulating.
Yes only if they have all four books to read in order.
Rafe. He was so complex but when he finally realized who and what he wanted, he turned into such a romantic.
About the same. She did a good job.
Love is never easy.
I don't like cliffhangers but I knew that before I bought these audiobooks so it was ok. I would recommend only reading these books in order at one time. All four need to be read together or none of them will make sense.
"Another cliffhanger :("
Bought this book for a credit to get the end of the story between Rafe and Ari. But this one ends on another cliffhanger- with two more books to go before this series ends I have decided to return this book (the first book to be returned for ages!) and don't finish this series. The story between Rafe and Ari is definitely not able to be stretched through 4 books. And no way I will pay two more credits to get an ending between Rafe and Ari!!
I normally love and prefer series but certainly not this series- I feel kind of robbed having to pay for four books to get an ending. Their love story isn't strong enough or interesting enough for a four books series
