Publisher's summary

The most highly-anticipated novel in the Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series since Acheron is here—the unforgettable story of Styxx, Acheron's twin brother and one of the most powerful beings on earth

Just when you thought doomsday was over . . .

Centuries ago Acheron saved the human race by imprisoning an ancient evil bent on absolute destruction. Now that evil has been unleashed and it is out for revenge.

As the twin to Acheron, Styxx hasn't always been on his brother's side. They've spent more centuries going at each other's throats than protecting their backs. Now Styxx has a chance to prove his loyalty to his brother, but only if he's willing to trade his life and future for Acheron's.

The Atlantean goddess of Wrath and Misery, Bethany was born to right wrongs. But it was never a task she relished. Until now.

She owes Acheron a debt that she vows to repay, no matter what it takes. He will join their fellow gods in hell and nothing is going to stop her. But things are never what they seem, and Acheron is no longer the last of his line. Styxx and Acheron must put aside their past and learn to trust each other or more will suffer.

Yet it's hard to risk your own life for someone who once tried to take yours, even when it's your own twin, and when loyalties are skewed and no one can be trusted, not even yourself, how do you find a way back from the darkness that wants to consume the entire world? One that wants to start by devouring your very soul?

“Kenyon's writing is brisk, ironic and relentless imaginative. These are not your mother's vampire novels.” —Boston Globe

Amazing...

What did you like best about this story?

Like pretty much everyone else I had Judged Styxx without a thought to what might have been. To have that Mental image of the stuck-up prince remove was a sad yet wonderful thing for me as I had always prefered Styxx over his brother. And I am very happy over the result. :)

Have you listened to any of Fred Berman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I haven't. First time I have listen to one of the Dark-Hunter Novel but I had read the rest so I had Voices and Images already thought in my mind. I am very please With Fred and how he Capture the voice and personalize each one to even better than what I had originally thought for some characters. I am very thrill and definitely plan on getting other Dark-Hunter book read by Fred even though I had Already read them :3

Any additional comments?

Loved this book. May me cry Many Many Many times during and I don't do that easily with books, I'm just glad I have job that doesn't require people looking at me, otherwise I would have been ask many times if I was alright.
This is my first review I am happy to have listen to this book <3

Just as good if not better then Acheron

If you could sum up Styxx in three words, what would they be?

Come to find out Styxx has a heart, a very big heart. Although they both need a familial transplant. This is another book that I cried through. This is one of my favorites. I've listened to it at least 5 times already

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Mr. Bermen did an exceptional job with the narration.

Any additional comments?

looking forward to the series continuation.

Styxx

I loved it. It was brutal, raw and uncut, like Acheron. Oh did Ibsay that I loved it!

great book

I love every second of it, although some of the voices were a bit off for my taste, such as urian who's voice felt effeminate and giving Greeks and atlanteans accents from the British isles. Acherons voice was supposed to be calmer and more melodic while I think he nailed the gruff and almost strangled nature of styxxs voice. over all book 10/10, voice acting 8/10 (not that I could do any better though).

dark and heart wrenching

I thought I had already read this book. but comming back to it again, I realized I missed so much. Like Acheron it it heart wrenching but also vital to the storyline and makes the characters real.
