Sherrilyn Kenyon's most highly anticipated novel in the Dark-Hunter series since Acheron is here - the unforgettable story of Styxx, Acheron's twin brother and one of the most powerful beings on Earth. Just when you thought doomsday was over…
Centuries ago Acheron saved the human race by imprisoning an ancient evil bent on absolute destruction. Now that evil has been unleashed and it is out for revenge. As the twin to Acheron, Styxx hasn’t always been on his brother's side. They've spent more centuries going at each other's throats than protecting their backs. Now Styxx has a chance to prove his loyalty to his brother, but only if he's willing to trade his life and future for Acheron's.
The Atlantean goddess of Wrath and Misery, Bethany was born to right wrongs. But it was never a task she relished. Until now. She owes Acheron a debt that she vows to repay, no matter what it takes. He will join their fellow gods in hell and nothing is going to stop her. But things are never what they seem, and Acheron is no longer the last of his line. Styxx and Acheron must put aside their past and learn to trust each other or more will suffer. Yet it's hard to risk your own life for someone who once tried to take yours - even when it's your own twin. And when loyalties are skewed and no one can be trusted, not even yourself, how do you find a way back from the darkness that wants to consume the entire world? One that wants to start by devouring your very soul?

Didn't think that I would enjoy listening to books versus reading but I must admit I am now ADDICTED!!
Loved this story I'm so glad we got to hear this story from Styxx point of view, I didn't want to believe that Styxx was as bad as ge seemed from Acherons point. I'm glad they finally got to see each other as it really was this was a great book I definitely recommend if you were upset with Styxx.
I am so disappointed in this author that I will not ever buy her books again. Other people have more detailed reviews. Seriously, this was in poor taste.
Come to find out Styxx has a heart, a very big heart. Although they both need a familial transplant. This is another book that I cried through. This is one of my favorites. I've listened to it at least 5 times already
Mr. Bermen did an exceptional job with the narration.
looking forward to the series continuation.
I am audio book addicted. Lets me do two things at once, multi-tasking to the inth degree. Love series, and hot and spicy books best.
Wow, what a hidden life he lead. Rissa was such a Bit#$ I cried over poor Styxx just I like I did when I read Acheron's story. Geez, I was emotionally worn out after this book as I was with his brother's story. Wow, such writing. I couldn't do it.
Thank you Fred Berman for the narration, you are the "voice" of the Dark Hunters, no matter what anyone else says!
Thank you for the emotional roller coaster ride Ms. Kenyon, I LOVED it. I love books that make one FEEL, and I sure did with this one too. Awesome!
My goodness, and I thought Acheron had it bad (I mean, he certainly did)... but sh**... this kid had it worse than his brother did. I didn't cry when I listened to Acheron and believe me my heart went out to him but Styxx, gosh the poor man... I cried in so many count for him and his life sentence.
My favorite character and book in the series so far!! Excellent story and performance! I can't wait for the next story! Hopefully we will get more Ash and Styxx!
I am glad I got this book because it completely told the story of Acheron and his brother Styxx. I found that I even went to bed with the earphones in so that I would not miss a word. I will definitely listen to it again.
After Acheron I was convinced that Styxx was an evil bastard, and then I cried for him all the way till the end!
The tent when Acheron was watching Styxx and realized how wrong he was about his brother.
He's great! Can defiantly make you feel there's dozens of characters speaking. He pulls off sassy level "expert!"
