Dark, unhappy, unkind, and still you keep reading because you want that kind of misery to have a happier ending which it did. I loved it dsyfunctiohsl family, horrible gods, and still he does the best he can. Styxx was my all tune favorite bik in this series. Thank you.

A good reminder that you shouldn't judge anyone until you have walked a mile in their shoes. And how is it that one being can suffer so much. Just when you think the worst has happened...BOOM! I started this series by listening to Acheron. That helped tremendously while listening to the series from the beginning. Stixx' s story over-laps a lot with Acheron' s and makes you start questioning just how bad-ass is Acheron? Of course Ash is bad, but you'll look at Stixx in a whole new light and with a lot more respect.

First Thought when Finished: Styxx left me absolutely gutted and wondering just where we go from here!

Story Thoughts: Just going to say upfront that there is no way I can tell you what I loved, cried, yelled, and screamed over without spoilers. So this is going to be the most generic review you have ever read in your life. In fact, let me just sum it up this way: If you loves Acheron then Styxx is a book you must read. If you have felt that the series has kind of gotten "off-track" then this is the book to bring you back in the fold. Things happen! Perspectives change! People are not what you think!

Character Thoughts: You really don't know Styxx until this story. In fact, I would venture to say that you really don't know a few characters fully until this story. Read but be prepared to want to punch a few of your favorites in the jaw and knock some sense in them. Be prepared to have new favorites and loves. Be prepared to actually scream at the characters to just sit the heck down and have a conversation. So basically just be prepared to be spinned around on what you think the characters are capable of because there are things that will shock you!

My audio rating has more to do with subject matter than the actual narration. I actually think Fred did an excellent job as a narrator but some things were just so darn hard to listen too. In fact, I had the same problem with Ash's book so I wasn't that shocked when the audio just overall didn't work for me. I think now that I have the story down, I could listen to the whole thing on audio but the initial gut wrenching was just way to painful to hear. Actually that is an nod to Fred because he made me feel everything Styxx was doing. I would just recommend that your read Styxx first so your prepped for it!

Oh Styxx... It Was Hard, Feel So Bad For You

Styxx Styxx Styxx.. Had no Idea of his side of events when I red the Acheron book... This book is so emotional, when you listen to Styxx's story you will be shocked of how it was and for how long it was like that... Sherrilyn did a good job of hiding his story , I had no idea....

So many events are in this book... and so many after and after-after events.. I can see why its so far down the line in this series, so many things that happened in previous books are included here too.. .And oh dear how many surprises you get here, prepare for them.

Absolutely loved this addition, and finally I'm where everyone else is at in this series, took me a while to get here as I have started this series recently.

Now will wait and see what will come up next.
