Publisher's summary

So how did I get myself into this situation, you ask? Simple: desperation. When you're faced with being homeless and hungry or taking off your clothes for money, the choice is easier than you'd imagine. That doesn't make it simple, though. Oh no. I hate it, in fact. There's nothing I'd like more than to quit and never go into another bar again, never hear the techno beat pulsing in my ears again, never feel the lecherous gazes of horny men again.

Then, one day, I meet a man. He's in my club, front and center. He watches me do my routine, and his gaze is full of hunger. Not the kind of desire I'm used to though. It's something different. Something hotter, deeper, and more possessive. I know who he is. Everyone knows who Dawson Kellor is. He's People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive. He's the hottest actor in Hollywood. He's the man hand-picked for the role of Rhett Butler in the long-awaited remake of Gone with the Wind. He's the kind of man who can have any woman in the entire world with a mere crook of his finger. So what's he doing looking at me like he has to have me? And how do I resist him when he looks at me with those intoxicating, changeable, quicksilver eyes?

I'm a virgin, and he's an American icon of male sexuality. I'm a stripper, and he's a man used to getting anything and everything he wants. And he wants me. I know I should say no, I know he's the worst kind of player...but what my mind knows, my body and my heart may not. And then things get complicated.

A crying stripper

Would you try another book from Jasinda Wilder and/or Summer Roberts?

No this one pretty much killed it for me. It wasn't too bad, but I can tell that her work isn't my cup of tea.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Summer Roberts?

sure

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Nope

Great story - choppy ending

This story had my hooked. It was so well done! My only complaint is that the Author set a precedent of thoroughness for most of the book - however - the end was choppy and jumped around only to briefly capture the milestones. Wilder covered so much ground and detail of Grey's broken relationship with her father in the beginning only to drop that off completely and touch very briefly on it later. It felt rushed at the end. I wish this was more than one book!

After the boring beginning... great story

This was awesome... well after the really boring beginning... When the h moves to LA to go to school and becomes a stripper to pay for college...the story really picks up... I think it's like 6 chapters in... You can literally skip like the first chapters...because they are boring...

Great H and great smexing... Totally loved this story... It reminded me of Love Unscripted by Tina Reber... which was awesome...

The H is a movie star but a normal guy... who falls inlove with the h, who is a really normal girl who is stripping her way through college...

So worth a credit... just the first couple of chapters nearly had me turning this off... but I hung in there and I am glad I did.

Narration was pretty good...

Worth a Credit or Sale...

You can't judge s book by its cover

I loved the book because it shows that the trials you go thru do not have to ruin your life, sometimes we are forced to do things we do not want to do to get by in life, but we can rebound and have a happy ever after .

A surprising WOW

What did you like best about this story?

I was completely surpised and delighted by how much I enjoyed this book. I was secptical on this being a cheesey listen, but I actually loved every minute of it. If you are a fan of sweet love stories...this is a perfect book.

Have you listened to any of Summer Roberts’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Summer Roberts never fails to deliver. She always has a fantastic way of preforming the book with both male and female voices.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I got very choked up listening to the beginning scenes with her and her mother. The raw emotions that Summer Roberts conveyed made you feel like you were right along side her while her Mother died of cancer.

LOVED!!

Any additional comments?

Stripped was a story about Grey Amundsen, a pastors daughter who was sheltered all her life. Her dream of dancing and producing is all she wanted. With Grey on a short leash from her dad, tragedy strikes Grey giving her the opportunity to take her dream to LA to attending USC majoring in film studies. Grey made it thru 2 years of school with a sudden notice that her grant no longer going to pay for schooling- with months of job searching- lead her to the strip club. She knew how to dance, but being as innocent as they come taking off her clothes was something she could never get used to- with her tears and sweat mixed together- she hated it!. One night she was forced to dance for a VIP party- and that is where she met Dawson Kellor, a big time Actor, who saw her as a person Grey not Gracie such as her stage name. She wasn’t just a stripper- he wanted the real her. He knew she didn’t belong there. This is def a fairly tale story- the girl searching her way in a big city and the big bad actor swoops in and rescues her. Over all I really really enjoyed this book- and the audio is incredible- the narrator Summer Roberts flowed nicely- and you new the difference of the characters. Grey is from Georgia and her accent is wonderful and not forced- and I cant wait to listen to more of her stuff.

Eh

Compared to Trashed this book was just Ok. The story line was meh and the sex scenes were decent but spaced out. The main character was just an emotional mess at all times. It was hard to get over her constant crying and freaking out. Not sure this will be a story I read again
