Actually, excellent ...

I am absolutely delighted to find an author in the Romance Package who can write a good, complex story with a fairly intricate plotline! Other than killing off one of my favorite characters, the author did a remarkably captivating job of holding my attention to the story, and while it's clearly a series, she didn't rely on the uber-irritating "cliff hanger" type of ending that makes me vow to never read another book written as a soap opera. This book is part of a series, but not a soap opera at all. So far, I've read the first two, and each can stand alone, although so far I'd recommend starting at the first book - you really don't want to miss the world-old dragon CEO of a multi-national corporation.

New favorite author

Loved it!

I fell in love with the characters. I especially loved the dialog shared between the two main characters the most.

I actually found this author on YouTube. Yes, the 1st book was taken down, but I heard it, loved it, bought it, and then discovered this 1. It resonates with me so much because it touches on my husband and mine love story. ❤ 😍 So much ass kicking & sacrifice! I loved it!

The Dude Has Lightening Bolts in His Eyes!

This is the second book in the Elder Races series, but it could have been listened to without hearing the first book, Dragon Bound. There are references to things that happened in the first book but not enough so that you would have been lost if you didn’t read it.

This story takes up where the first left off and is the love story of Tricks (cute little dark Fae princess) and Tiago (Big ole Thunderbird). There are many circumstances that keep Tricks and Tiago apart including themselves. Although they both feel an attraction to each other, they are hesitant to take the big step that will mate them for life.

There are also many Dark Fae that don’t want Tricks to ascend to the throne so every once in a while there will be an assassination attempt on her. Between the assassination attempts and the friends that are trying to keep them apart, the world just seems against the possibility of Tricks and Tiago ever being together.

This story had a slow build up to the ultimate conclusion. There was a point where I was just thinking ‘get on with it and mate already will ya?’ but that is just my impatient self. Overall it is a good second book and I believe those that enjoyed the first book, Dragon Bound, will also enjoy this story.

The Narration Review
This audiobook was narrated by Sophie Eastlake who was also the narrator for the first book. She has a great story telling voice that is very easy to listen to. Sophie sounds youngish, so I always blush for her when she has to say sexually explicit things. LoL

Love this series

This was slightly less awesome than the first, but that is not saying anything bad about it! It's just that the first book created such a high standard for me. I LOVE Tiago and Tricks. The character development in this book is really good. Sophie Eastlake is perfect for the narration.

She did it again!

Thea Harrison did it again. She pulled off another winner with this story. Unfortunately I did feel like it dragged on a bit towards the end. Don't get me wrong the ending was suspenseful but it was a bit long winded and I couldn't bring myself to race through it like with Dragon Bound.

Another Winner!

I LOVE this series!! Thea Harrison has done a great job creating a fantasy world that is fun, exciting and very sexy. Sophie Eastlake's performance is equally brilliant.

highly enjoyable

this is my fourth Elder series book. The characters are very well written. The reader does a good job of keeping her boys separate for the different characters. Looking forward to reading the next one

I have to say this one is one of my favs and will listen and read again and again!!!
It's a MUST read!!! You would miss a great one if you DON'T!!!!
