    "Great Story!!"

This audiobook was so great! This is the second book in Thea Harrison's Elder Races Series and the story was great! I'm a reader who usually reads the book first and then listens to the audiobooks of the series I truly LOVE! I decide this time to use my monthly credit on a book I had not read yet!

I think my favorite part of was how perfect the voice of Niniane was portrayed. The narrator voiced her exactly how I pictured her speaking in my head! The other characters were very well done also!

Overall, a great book worth listening too! AWESOME JOB Ms. Eastlake!! A GREAT JOB goest to Thea Harrison as well....keep them coming!!

    Story
"Lots of suspense... some hot romance"

This is book 2 in the Elder Races series. You don't really need to read them in order since there are barely any references from the previous book. This is the story about Thiago and Tricks. She inherited the Dark Fey throne and someone is out to impede her from becoming the Queen. That's why Thiago goes after her to defend her. I liked this book but it felt kind of long. The romance takes quite a long time to develop and I found myself saying: "do it already darn it!". This story has more suspense than romance and I liked the fact that it was not predictable. I never predicted who the bad guy is. Overall I liked this book and will most likely get the third one in the series but it is not as hot and romantic as the first book. The narrator does a nice job with the different characters although Minion's voice (Tricks) is a little annoying.

"The Dude Has Lightening Bolts in His Eyes!"

This is the second book in the Elder Races series, but it could have been listened to without hearing the first book, Dragon Bound. There are references to things that happened in the first book but not enough so that you would have been lost if you didn’t read it.

This story takes up where the first left off and is the love story of Tricks (cute little dark Fae princess) and Tiago (Big ole Thunderbird). There are many circumstances that keep Tricks and Tiago apart including themselves. Although they both feel an attraction to each other, they are hesitant to take the big step that will mate them for life.

There are also many Dark Fae that don’t want Tricks to ascend to the throne so every once in a while there will be an assassination attempt on her. Between the assassination attempts and the friends that are trying to keep them apart, the world just seems against the possibility of Tricks and Tiago ever being together.

This story had a slow build up to the ultimate conclusion. There was a point where I was just thinking ‘get on with it and mate already will ya?’ but that is just my impatient self. Overall it is a good second book and I believe those that enjoyed the first book, Dragon Bound, will also enjoy this story.

    The Narration Review
This audiobook was narrated by Sophie Eastlake who was also the narrator for the first book. She has a great story telling voice that is very easy to listen to. Sophie sounds youngish, so I always blush for her when she has to say sexually explicit things. LoL

I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.

Would you consider the audio edition of Storm's Heart to be better than the print version?

    Audio is better!

What about Sophie Eastlake’s performance did you like?

    Great job as usual!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    Tricks has her moments, LOL

    Any additional comments?

I love this series and it's worth the credit.

    Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this book, but perhaps not quite as much as the book before and after it. Still, it's far and away better than most of the stuff out there so definitely worth the credit.

"Annoying Valley Girl Barbie Doll Alert!"
Would you try another book from Thea Harrison and/or Sophie Eastlake?

Yes I have one more to go, but this was such a disappointing difference from Dragon Bound.

What could Thea Harrison have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Not make a 217 year old fairy sound like a whiny immature Barbie Doll, ugh. The banter between a 217 fairy and...an older then time Thunder bird was just ridiculous, I felt like it was a scene out of "Mean Girls". Age is suppose to signify experience, knowledge, grace and wisdom, but instead you get annoying drunk sorority girl that gives it up in a night club....classy.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment, I really wanted the characters to be more mature for their substantial age.

    Any additional comments?

so far this is my least favorite it the series, Dragon Bound is still the best.

    "Don't skip this one!"

Originally I skipped this book based on reviews, but I disagree with the poor ratings. I tried to go to book 3 but felt the gap too much so went back and got this one. It was a good story and definitely set up book 3.

    Story
    "Keep the Wyr love going!!!"

Very good second book. Thunderbird is bad to the bone!!! I love how the thunderbird stayed true to his thunderbird ways all the way to the end.

I have to say, the whole Dark Fae was a bit confusing in the end however. Too much backstabbing going on.

The love story between Thunderbird Tanigo and Fairy was sooo good. I could tell from book one these two would get together. Loved how when Fairy went missing, Tanigo went insane a bit... but he didn't even realize he was in love with her... This book was good at bringing these two together, but the Dark Fae people messed it up. U could never tell who was actually on Fairy's side in the end with the Dark Fae. I didn't like that.

Narrator did a very good job. I loved how Tanigo voice was not all tough and deep and rough. He a freakin Thunderbird, so you would think narrator would try to make his voice all deep and stuff. It was perfect! Just a regular guys voice... I can't believe a female narrator the men voices... I couldn’t even tell it was a female... Sooo good. Worth your free credit.
