I have listened to this series many times. If you haven't read/listened to the Drake Sisters series, you should. The 2 series are about Sea Haven.
The book is entertaining and the plot is fresh. There was a fair amount of melodrama that I could've done without, but it kept me listening over a long drive.
When Judith is first able to control her powers and weave them all together.
The voices sound the same, and it OFTEN sounds like he's ending a sentence then discovers there are a few more words left in the sentence. The inflection is off.
Better narration. Sorry!
I was looking forward to learning more about Rikkii's sisters but this book left a lot missing. If your looking for an erotic story this is it. Not much else here though. So sad! The first book in the series was very interesting but this one not so much!
The plot needs more!!
Narration not bad but missed the narrator form the Drake Sisters. Should have used the same one.
More romance, not as much sex.
Might try the next book, hope it's as good as the first one. So sad, another narrator again!
Like others here, I've read all the Sea Haven books and listened to most of them. I really like the male narrator for the Prakenski's and I hope they will continue to use this narrator for the rest of the books. One person commented he didn't do any accents. He used a French accent, a Russian accent and an American accent. He was pretending to be an American for much of the book. I enjoyed his voice very much.
The story itself was also very good and the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because, like most Feehan books, things are repeated endlessly. But it seems to work for her as she sells lots of books, many to me!
The next book, Air Bound, is due out in May, 2014, and I so hope they will use a male narrator. These are the Prakenski brothers books and they are male, very male! Yea!
Just FYI for Audible, I did NOT get the audio book for Water Bound because the sample did not demonstrate her male voices. Some women are pretty good, but others just keep sounding like women. Just unacceptable.
Love a good romance
Yes, I enjoyed both books in this series and will be anxious for more to come I am sure
I love just about everything that Christine Feehan writes. This one was just a tad bit boring - not really a strong story line. I kept wanting the 3 Russian brothers to meet but only 2 of them have. This book didn't have the oomph that most of her books have.
I enjoyed reading about the microchip that was artfully put into a kaleidoscope. The evil room that Judith created was also well written. The least interesting part was hearing about how the Russian boys grew up. Most of this was already covered in the first book.
He needs to have a more manly voice, especially when he talks for the rough and tough men in the book.
Probably not. I don't usually enjoy books made into movies. I enjoyed the Twilight Series books MUCH better than I did the movies.
Christine Feehan's Drake Sisters Series is one of my all time favorites. Her Sisters of the Heart Series follows, of which this is book #2. I love all of them. My only disappointment was that this series didn't continue with Alyssa Bresnahan as the narrator. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.
The sex was over done/used... detracted from the plot.
Of course, there are more sisters... and a new character was introduced at the end.
I really enjoyed listening to the book. I travel during the day making stops here and there throughout the day while listening to an audible book. While listening to this book I didn't want to make some of my stops and couldn't wait to get back to listening.
A great voice and a man's perspective.
Not really. I didn't really enjoy all the emotional healing/counceling talk. I suppose I couldn't connect with this aspect of the story. I'm sure others can.
Typical HEA and sweet. Nothing that 'WOW'ed me.
The narrator was a 3 star (meaning: I liked the performance, not 4 stars='really liked' or 5 stars='the best I've experienced'). He was decent and did a decent job on the female voices (I've heard worst).
No. It is not original enough.
Spirit Bound is an enjoyable story with sweet talk that any woman would want to hear from her man. I just don't find the story all that original. Give it a try, you might enjoy it. It wasn't totally unworthy of my credit.
