I enjoyed the book very much. I agree with others that the narrator sounded alike with all the characters but for me, it didn't take away from the story as he had a pleasing voice. I look forward to the next book in the series.
i love Christine Feehan ,her work is always so good but this one fell short i don't know if it was the narrator of the book or just the book i did not like it . It was slow so slow and the narrator just made it worst sorry i think i'll stay away from this serie. I will however read the other
While the characters are interesting, there is WAY too much repetition of everything: circumstances, what Judith means to Stephan and vice versa. It was seriously a bit boring. The sex was fine, almost just the right amount (it's more prevalent in the Dark series). I understand that there must be some suspense to sell the next book, but I would have appreciated knowing more about Jean-Claude's fate. I fast forwarded a good part of the book.
Wow! I got through the first 4 chapters out of sheer dedication to not quit what I started. I kept hoping to care about these 2 main characters but could not. I liked the first book in this series although it was pretty slow but this one is just painful.
Narrator did a wonderful job on all characters! Both men and women had their own distinctive tones. This is a book that is part of a series, it's not a stand alone! I recommend Christine Feehan, she does a wonderful job on all of the books I have read of hers.
Judith has survived a very painful past where she witnessed her brother tortured and killed. The rage & anger that lives within her is dangerous to those around her because she amplifies their feelings with her own. Then along comes Stefan Prakenskii. A dark & dangerous man with the ability to not only control her dark emotions but understand & heal them. It's a match made in the spirit. 2 down, 4 to go!
YES, VERY MUCH SO
THE VIOLENT BROTHER NEEDED SAVING AND I WAS GLAD SHE DID SAVE HIM
The book is entertaining and the plot is fresh. There was a fair amount of melodrama that I could've done without, but it kept me listening over a long drive.
When Judith is first able to control her powers and weave them all together.
The voices sound the same, and it OFTEN sounds like he's ending a sentence then discovers there are a few more words left in the sentence. The inflection is off.
Better narration. Sorry!
I was looking forward to learning more about Rikkii's sisters but this book left a lot missing. If your looking for an erotic story this is it. Not much else here though. So sad! The first book in the series was very interesting but this one not so much!
The plot needs more!!
Narration not bad but missed the narrator form the Drake Sisters. Should have used the same one.
More romance, not as much sex.
Might try the next book, hope it's as good as the first one. So sad, another narrator again!
