Publisher's summary

Jessi St. James has got to get a life. Too many hours studying ancient artifacts has given the hardworking archaeology student a bad case of sex on the brain. So she figures she must be dreaming when she spies a gorgeous half-naked man staring out at her from inside the glass of an ancient mirror.

But when a split-second decision saves her from a terrifying attempt on her life, Jessi suddenly finds herself confronting six-and-a-half feet of smoldering, insatiable alpha male.

Heir to the arcane magic of his Druid ancestors, Cian MacKeltar was trapped inside the Dark Glass 11 centuries ago. And when the Dark Glass is stolen, an ancient enemy will stop at nothing to reclaim it.

For Jessi, the sex god in the mirror is not only tantalizingly real, he's offering his protection - from exactly what, Jessi doesn't know. And all he wants in exchange is the exquisite pleasure of sharing her bed.

Great Scot! Don't miss our other titles in the Highlander series.

The Spell That binds us

I found it pretty incredible. After listening to the book twice, I heard details that I missed the first time around. It is all coming together and I can hardly wait to see what happens next.
I have thoroughly enjoyed each of the books so far in the series.

highly addictive

What made the experience of listening to Spell of the Highlander the most enjoyable?

surprisingly well developed story line and plot for a romance novels. if you can keep an open mind to myths ledgends and the supernatural this series can be highly entertaining. i normally stay as far away from romance novels but on a whimsical and rather random notion i took the recomendation from a cowofker on this author on the promise of a well developed plot and entertaining. i was not disappointed in the least and have been hooked on the author ever since.

lowering curtain on Highlander, raising for Fever

Synchronicity - we begin with definitions that open myriad possibilities that can drive this book, and also shapes the opening of the next series - Fever - linked, but a world unto its own.
Cian (key-un) has been trapped in a mirror, an Unseelie Hallow, for 1133 years keeping the evil Trevayne alive. When his mirror is stolen and shipped to Chicago, Cian convinces Jessi St James to speak the spell giving him a temporary release to protect her from Trevayne’s henchmen. They embark on a trek to hide from him past the tithe date to ensure Trevayne’s death. But things are never that simple including Cian and Jessi falling through lust and into love. And finding shelter with Drustan and Dageus MacKeltar appears to be due to the machinations of Queen Aoibheal and the future she anticipates- cue the Fever series.
Gigante, as always, does an excellent job of narration.
I don’t know how many times I’ve read or listened to this series but it’s many. Recommend.

Great Series

I started going through my audible books and decided to re-listen to some. Karen Marie Moning is one of my favorite authors and the second listen to the Highlander series was as good as the first. All aspects if the books are great. Phil Gigante reads the book wonderfully. I would recommend this series to anyone that enjoys sci-fy fantasies.

Clever story, outstanding narrator

Phil Giante’s performance is absolutely outstanding!
He was the reason for picking up this series in the first place.
I would give it 5 stars, if it was not for the unneeded detailed comments about slick underwear and use of dictionary better suitable for sailor in the mouth of the feminine heroine
But, that is my complaint about the entire series
It sadly, makes it plain trashy
The author unfortunately makes all her heroines sound like 15 year olds from local trailer park , despite of the fact , they are supposed to be highly educated women in their twenties

Good book for house chores or long drive
