highlander wonder

I half to say I cant get enough of this series.
this book brings back other leading men and women from the other books yet this stands on its own. I love the magic and the love stories. that these sexy men only look and love and choose there one true mate. this was a bit different with our mane man stuck in a magic mirror I thought it was fun and different from the other books.. and yes he is domineering and cave mannish but when you are doing laundry you don't want a real man you want the hunk in the book right......

Worth listening to more than once!

I love Highland romances, and this one did not disappoint. Karen Marie Moning is one of my favorite authors. She writes with a strong story line, and keeps her reader involved throughout. I laughed and, I'm not ashamed to admit, cried. The ending was a complete surprise, and if this had been a movie, I would have been watching the end with my eyes covered, peeking through my fingers! I even had to laugh at myself because of that!!
Jim Frangione is one of my favorite narrators, and he does not disappoint here. He is able to bring a story to life and keeps the listener involved throughout.
Definitely worth the credit, in my opinion, if you enjoy this genre.

Love the narrator!

Story is a bit farfetched but good. Phil Gigante has the sexiest voice, so it's easy to listen:-)

Mirror, mirror on the wall…

I listened to this series some time ago, I realized there were a few books that I haven't reviewed. So here we go. If you love highland romances with a bit of fantasy this is the series you should try. You don't necessarily have to read the books in order but there is a thread of storyline that runs through them all and the last book (this one) ties them all together, so I do recommend listening to them in order. I love Phil Gigante voice, he is so sexy. Admittedly though his female voice do leave something to be desired but when he does his highland brogue it make you melt.

Yes. I love the story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Spell of the Highlander?

When Cian threw the mirror down the stairs, knowing that it would break and that he would die. What a sacrifice! Thank you for allowing him to live.

What about Phil Gigante’s performance did you like?

I love the Scottish accent.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Cian was yelling at Dageus to go find Jessica, who had been left behind, it really showed how much Cian loved her. It also reminded Dageus how much he loved Chloe. It was a very emotional moment.

Any additional comments?

It would be great if they could redo the audio book with a female narrator and a male narrator. I love Phil, but adding a real female would make the feminine characters sound believable.

Great Book! If you're a fan of the Highlander series, this one doesn't disapoint.

What a magical treat to listen to this story (I have read the book several times)
listening to a male read is different but I enjoyed it ... although men doing women's voices is horrible ...lol just like women doing men's ... but it doesn't ruin the book, I just wish it had of been read by both a man and a woman

One of the best in this series

This has to be one of my favourite books in the highlander series. Cian is a great lead. He has a straightforward sense of humour, he walks a fine line between good and evil due to the fact that he’s used to getting what he wants and doesn't let anything stand in his way of that.

Jessica makes me laugh with some of her inner monologue. She's a strong woman and a great mate for Cian. The two together make a steamy combination. I have reread this book a few times, and the audio edition didn't change my opinion one bit. The narrating was done well and this audiobook will go on my favourites shelf.
