Publisher's summary

If you don't give your heart away, you can't get it broken. When twenty-year-old Kendall Jordan transfers across the country to Garrison University, the last thing she's looking for is a one-night stand. Unfortunately that's exactly what gorgeous Cruise Elton offers. Kendall has long since come to realize that love is an illusion, and Cruise couldn't agree more - but something deep inside her wants him all for herself. So Kendall devises a plan to "play the player" and proposes that Cruise tutor her in becoming a female version of himself - Garrison University's own playboy. But as real feelings emerge, the game gets complicated, and Kendall and Cruise will find themselves questioning everything they thought they knew about love.

This is a book that I really wanted to like but it was dragged down by overly wordy dialog and tangents meant to build suspense but just went on too long.

Other aspects didn't make sense to me.
1. She is a virgin but overly sultry and talks about becoming a player.
2. He is a notorious player going to frat parties yet he is also teaching gender studies.
3. Both think love is BS but fall Fast for each other.
4. The h's friends know that Blake is his crazy Ex yet none of them tells her when they see them together? Not good friends.
5. The H is a teacher in her class yet does not seem to understand that she cannot be his student as they are in a relationship.

The story definitely brings the heat and is quite enjoyable at times. My guess is that the author has some really good story and I will look at other books that she has written.

someone to love

I thought the story was wonderful. Loved that Kendall had such a great sense of humor . Laughed out loud several times while listening.

I really really enjoyed this book. I fell in love with Cruz and Kendall (Kenny) from the beginning. This book is jam packed will all kinds of juicy goodness that you wont be able to put it down.

Forgot the end?

The story is okay, but a little drawn out in parts. Without giving any kind of spoilers the book just stops. It’s like the author had a deadline and just said “well good enough”. I understand it’s a series but it’s not the same couple.

Trying hard

Any additional comments?

The narrator's were good- except when they did the opposite sex voices (yikes)....the story is REALLY slow......I am on Chapter 12 and still NOTHING! I will have to listen to the rest to see what happens but this is the first time out of at least 40 audible books that I fast forward......hoping it picks up!

not worth it

I listened for free through kindle unlimited. only way to listen to the book. Narration killed it for me. I might have been able to get info the story if the narrators were different. only finished because I wanted to know how it ended.

there were times where they fought then within a couple of minutes it was like nothing happened. overall just not for me.

Hard time staying with it.

What disappointed you about Someone to Love?

I would like to think that I am an extreme book reader/listener as I average about 5 to 6 books/audiobooks a week. I can usually tell right off if I am going to like it or not and this book just didn't cut it. I usually don't write reviews but felt obligated to do so this time. The overall story was not half bad, however it was really slow. All the connections to me seemed very unreal and the idea that this girl would go home with some stranger the first night she met him is unrealistic. I have read other Addison Moore books before however this one just did not make the cut.
