The story started out with such promise. The auction scenes were steamy with a believable dark side. Deeper into the story, it becomes less dark and less believable. Aubrey, a previous virgin, unashamedly throws herself at Vash... a lot. Nothing innocent or dark about that.

Great short and sizzling erotica listen, though. Narrator does both gender lines but he doesn't change for the female's thoughts so I was confused at times as to who was thinking/talking.

A contemporary romance with light BDSM elements

I liked the book. I would describe the book as contemporary romance with light BDSM elements. The sex scenes were explicit and hot, but there was a story to connect them. I found the book well-written. The characters were well developed, and their motivations clear. It would have been nice to learn a little more about Vash’s deceased wife, since Vash had descended into alcohol and sex in the two years since her death. Aubrey was young and her reactions showed her youth. I would have preferred a more mature heroine, but that would not have fit the plot conflicts of mother and daughter.

I have not read any books by this author before, but I would be interested in reading some of her other titles.

The narration was well done. I was a little disconcerted at the very beginning, because the male narrator was speaking thoughts of the female character. However, once I realized what was going on, I was no longer bothered. It might have been the kind of story that would work well with duel narrations, but I was quite happy with just the one male narrator.

innocent meet Bad boy

a young girl willing to auction off her virginity so she can go to school of her choice. a bad boy decided to splurge one last time before he goes straight and narrow. this was an anonymous thing. but when they cross paths desire fire Sparks and sexual tension leads them to slight trouble. I like the narrator's voice sometimes it was hard to tell the difference between the male and the female but overall I really enjoyed his voice the book is good.

Could Have Been Amazing

It’s like the author couldn’t figure out where this story was going. Was it supposed to be dark? Was it supposed to be angsty? It needed to be more fleshed out. I know the FMC was immature, but I actually think that was pretty accurate for a sheltered young woman. Even her insta-crush and responses made sense. I can even buy a 34 year old man being obsessed with a hot young woman. Everything happened too quickly. I wanted her to find her feet, and have a chance to decide her place and future over time. The spicy was just strange. The author couldn’t seem to figure out what lane she wanted to go down.

This is a hot and steamy read for those days when you need one. It does start out dark but does not really stay that way through the book. However, I love those kinds of books so this was a great fun read for me. Thank you!

Nice story

I really enjoyed the story and the narrator did a great job but this really should have also had a female narrator to voice the heroines parts. It was confusing at times and other times downright off-putting to hear what should have been feminine words come out in a gruff male voice.

I love these short bad boy romance stories by Sky Corgan. They are short, hot, sexy, and interesting from the beginning. Loved the story. The books keep getting better and this is the best one yet!

What a book!

I have read and listened to several books by Sky Corgan and enjoy her stories. Chase Bradley added so much to this dual POV book. He did a great job putting some emotions in the book that one could not get reading it. This particular book does not have a totally original story, but it sure was enjoyable. Parts of the book I really liked, while others not so much. The age of Natalie compared to Vash was somewhat taboo along with the thought of auctioning one's virginity. Some Surprises in this book

I think I actually read this on Amazon a few years (or books) back. But it was worth listening to. I'd forgotten so much.

Very hot beginning with little character development. But after that part the characters really start to develop. It is an older man, younger girl along with conflict with the girl's mother. I don't do spoilers so that's the most I will say.

A definite worth the time read!
