i loved this book! the premis was a bit far fetched, but overall a good story. this whole series was full of passion & laughter.
Lisa, I need more!!! Please do Joe's story and finish the Travis saga. You could begin 5 years later and we could catch up with everyone .
The ability to listen to it on my iPhone while exercising, and driving.
When the Younger sister gave the main character custody of the child. And Ella's realization that she truly was in love with Jack when he was missing.
Not sure, but she was pleasant to listen to and I think she did a great job of giving each character their own personality
I really wanted to but it took a couple days.
Can't wait for the 4th book in the Travis series.
I listen to audible with a pile of cats all over me. It's "FUR-tastic!"
Lisa Kleypas is an excellent romance writer. I thought the story line was okay and the characters to be interesting. I wasn't blown away by the story. Lisa usually writes historical romances so this is a switch for her. I think the performer was very good.
I was told "this is not the typical bodice ripper. It's a very good story". No, I'm afraid not. The premise of the story was promising, then it went away. If you're into to descriptive sex this book is for you. I wanted the story. It was a waste of a credit. I will not waste any more time on this.
I like romance stories, and I thought the characters were realistic.
This book is comparable to many other modern romance books. Better than a lot of them.
The shower scene.
Someone to Watch Over Me.
The only problem I had was sometimes she would use the same voice for different characters.
Will do anything for books!
I enjoyed the characters, the truth behind so much of the family drama, the story was sweet and a tad lighter but that is exactly what I needed!
story was well written, and characters were believable staying in character through entire book. reasons for not falling in love believable and held for a believable amount of the book. Narrator was wonderful as well!
waiting for word from boating accident as well as giving Luke back to his mother.
loved her voice, inflections, character changes, all of it. Put several books she's narrated into my wish list
laughed, cried, held my breath. Couldn't get enough
Listening for the second time right now!!!
The book started out a little strange and did not have much hope, but as it progressed it was entertaining.
Ella Varner is an advice columnist, lives in Austin, Texas with her vegan boyfriend Dane and seems very happy with her life and relationship as is. All changes will change with a call from Mommy Dearest beckoning her to Huston to deal with Ella's younger sister, Tara and her new baby, Luke. Mommy Dearest wants nothing to do with a baby Luke and forces Ella take the baby. Now Ella’s life is filled with bottles, diapers, little sleep and a boyfriend that does not want a baby to interrupt his life. Trying to locate the father of the baby, Jack Travis name comes up as a potential possibility. Willing to take a paternity suit we find out from Tara he is not the dad leaving the door wide open for Ella and Jack.
Emily Durante did a decent job narrating the books – I thought her accent was appropriate for a Texas base book.
I love science fiction. I love the reluctant hero. Characters that try to do the right thing no matter what.
It was so predictable and smooth....
Didn't really like her voice or her characters.
Not Lisa's best effort...her historicals are better.
